Tuesday racing heads to Scone as we look to find a few winners to get us through the start of the working week. The track is currently rated a good 4 however there is a fair bit of rain forecast for the day. The rail is in the true position.

Billy Bestford has taken a look at the card and like the looks of two horses today. Finds his best bets coming up in Race 4 Race 7 and Race 8.

(13) Geisel was a good thing beat last start as a very short favourite at Muswellbrook. He had restricted room in the straight there and looks a very big chance to atone for that defeat today. Stepping up to 1600m poses no problem and 3rd up now he should be at peak fitness.

(12) Alight The Night has had a stable change following just two career starts, runnign 2nd on both occasions. She’s in good hands with Brett Cavanough and looks to have ability.

I’ve always had a bit of time for (12) Perlant and her first up win this prep was as impressive as you’ll see. That was her first time seeing a wet track and the stable did mention after her last start that the track might have been too dry for her. Assuming this rain comes throughout the day and we see a downgrade she will be very much suited by the conditions and back in this sort of company. Expecting her to be too good for these and maps for very favour from gate 3.

With the downpour of rain I think (12) Birdonawinningpost is a very good chance to bounce back to winning form. 4th up now and rock hard fit should see him much improved back in this sort of grade. Blinkers go on for the first time today and the race looks to set up nicely for him.

(9) Tinka’s Lad looks hardest to beat and brings winning form into this. Has strung together two strong wins, gets through the wet and has a very good 3rd up record. 1600m should prove no problems and will be up on the speed.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
