Caulfield Guineas Betting Preview
There are three horses that stand out at the top of the early market, and each brings a different form line into the Guineas.
Warwoven has emerged as the early favourite and looks one of the most interesting runners heading south for the race. The Bjorn Baker-trained three-year-old wasn’t originally among the very shortest-priced Guineas chances, but his spring performances have seen him firm considerably in betting.
The biggest question is how he handles his first look at Caulfield and the step to the mile, but his current form gives him a strong platform.
Blind Raise has the advantage of already showing exactly what he can do around Caulfield. The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained colt won the Caulfield Guineas Prelude in convincing fashion, putting nearly three lengths on his rivals.
That local form is a major positive. The Guineas is another step up, but a horse that can settle into a good position and handle Caulfield’s turns is always going to get his chance.
Tron Bolt adds another dimension to the race. The Chris Waller-trained colt won his first two starts, including the Group 1 J.J. Atkins as a two-year-old, giving him something most of his rivals don’t have – proven Group 1 form over 1600 metres.
He hasn’t dominated during the early part of his spring campaign, but getting back to the mile should suit and Waller has clearly been building towards the Guineas.
Other Caulfield Guineas Chances
Diameter is another Chris Waller runner worth respecting. He remains around the next line of betting and could become particularly interesting once the barrier draw is known.
Call Me Coach has remained prominent throughout the spring and looks another genuine chance of making the final field.
Campione D’Italia and Central Europe give Waller further depth, while Wolf Gap, Unit Five and Tornado Valley are among those capable of improving enough to become factors in what remains a fairly open race behind the favourites.
2026 Caulfield Guineas Tips
At this early stage, Blind Raise is the runner we want to be with.
Warwoven deserves his position near the head of betting, but Blind Raise’s performance in the Guineas Prelude gives us something particularly valuable heading into Saturday – proven form over the Caulfield circuit.
He handled the track comfortably, put a good margin on his opposition and looks ready for the step to 1600 metres.
Tron Bolt is the danger. His Group 1 mile victory as a two-year-old means he has to be respected if he arrives at Caulfield ready to peak.
1. Blind Raise
2. Warwoven
3. Tron Bolt
4. Diameter
Best Bet – Blind Raise
Blind Raise – Win
His dominant Caulfield Guineas Prelude performance makes him our early selection for the 2026 Caulfield Guineas. Proven Caulfield form is a significant advantage and he looks capable of taking another step at 1600 metres.
Caulfield Guineas Odds
The market remains fluid ahead of final acceptances and the barrier draw. Warwoven, Blind Raise and Tron Bolt currently occupy the leading positions in betting, with a gap to the next group of runners.
We’ll update the 2026 Caulfield Guineas odds with the latest Dabble market once the final field is declared.
