We look towards Gunnedah this Sunday where there is an 8 race card to get stuck into. The feature race of the day comes up in race 7 with the Gunnedah Cup. The track is currently rated a good 4 and the rail is in the true position.

(10) Chocolate Kisses looks hard to beat on exposed form. Has run some good races behind handy horses in the past and gets her chance today from barrier 1. First up for new stable today and should give a strong kick up front and be hard to catch.

(1) All The Shops can be a big improver 2nd up. Was solid on debut over 1200m and should take plenty of benefit out of that run. Looks to get the gun trail with Matthew Palmer sticking from the debut.

(2) Charvet has come back in good order this prep and put the writing on the wall two back before overcoming trouble last start to record an impressive win. Looks ready to peak 3rd up and gets out to this trip for the first time. Stable has been flying lately and no reason she can’t win again.

(4) Auntie Monnie is still only lightly raced and is a consistent performer. This will be her first start for the new stable and she has scope to run well here today.

(3) Righthere Rightnow was a good winner in this grade last start. Has to overcome a wide gate again today but has been racing solidly.

Keen to be with (6) Danza In The Dark here who was an eye catcher last start behind the smart Levi’s Storm. This horse has always shown a bit of ability and looks well suited in a race like this 3rd up today. Still only stuck on the one win but can reel off strong closing splits and should be going close.

(9) Warphil can run well here after a good 3rd last start over this trip. Drops 2.5kg from that performance and should find himself in a good position in running.

(1) Hello Sunshine finds a weaker race than she tackled last start and looks more suited dropping back to this trip. Will be in it a long way.

Keen to be with (3) Total Recall here in the Cup getting up to the mile. Has had best success when out to this kind of trip and has been building towards a peak performance. Is a winner 4th up in the past and drops 2.5kg from last start. Looks a very good winning chance.

(7) Highly Desired beat home Total Recall last start and looks open to plenty of improvement here 3rd up. Maps to lead or sit just in behind the speed and will be the one they’ll have to get past.

This is the easiest race (2) Unbiased has faced for a while and gets in light with a big 4kg claim on his back. Is always competitive in these kinds of country races and has had success at Gunnedah before.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
