Midweek racing continues at Kilmore today where there is an 8 race card on offer.

The track is currently rated a Soft 5 and the rail is out 5 metres from the 800-400, and 3 metres for the rest of the track.

Thought (3) Lyrical Lad looked one of the better bets of the day here. Was just starting to wind up last start and now gets out to 1400m which will suit. Has only been improving in each start and looks ready to break his maiden.

(1) Giottino is the obvious threat who was also good first up over 1200m. Will be suited by this trip and has race experience on his side.

(9) Chatelaine is still stuck on the 1 career win but has enough talent to win this. Never really came on last prep but was an improved run fresh and best performances have come 2nd up. The mile should suit.

(4) Tides Of Jupiter comes into this off the back of a good 3rd in this grade fresh. Got back and hit the line strongly and will be another who is suited stepping up to 1600m. Big weight is the query.

(1) Knowitall Jack is the class horse of the race and will have to carry 62kg even after the claim. Well back in grade for this and can win.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
