(6) California Surreal looks ready to win now 3rd up and came with a nose of breaking her maiden last start behind the smart Kooled. She arguably should have won there but did a bit wrong in the straight and Jmac now jump aboard as she gets out to this trip for the first time. Winkers have been added to aid her cause and I think with natural improvement she should just be winning.
(8) Wolves drops to from a Group 2 to a maiden here after contesting the Furious Stakes last start at Randwick. Was obviously outclassed there but this is a huge drop in class and he’ll be right in the finish.
(4) Montenegro wears blinkers first time and has trialled well since failing on debut. He started $3.80 there so he could be one to watch out for.
Tip: (6) California Surreal - $2.20 at Bet365
Betting Strategy: 1.5u WIN California Surreal

Plenty of unknowns here and stack of debutants and we could rename this ‘The Chris Waller Maiden’ as he’ll have eight (!) go around.
I’ll be having something small on two horses. One of those is (10) Lady Piaf who makes her debut today following a stack of trials. The most recent of those was one of her best and I think she looks ready to make an impact on debut. Jmac takes the ride for Waller and she’s drawn well.
(12) Bella Rouge is the other horse who looks a bit of value. She was smashed last start in betting over 1100m and run well but just peaked late. The extra trip will suit here and she has the benefit of race experience on her side.
(1) Able Willie could be anything and is another Waller debutant who has looked smart in the lead up to this debut run. Nash from an inside means your gonna get a positive ride and she could just blow them away.
Tip: (10) Lady Piaf - $8.50 at Sportsbet
Value: (12) Bella Rouge - $12 at Sportsbet
Betting Strategy: 0.5u WIN Lady Piaf, 0.25u WIN Bella Rouge

Think (9) Beep Test can handle the step up in grade today as he goes in search of his third straight win. Looks to have found his straps this prep and comes into this off the back off two dominant front-running wins. There looks to be a heap of pace on in this race so I’m hoping McDonald can slot in just behind those leaders and peel off them in the straight and be too strong. The forecast of rain will do his chances no harm either.
(6) Rathvilly Miss just doesn’t know how to put in a poor run and she once again ran better than the market expected her to last start. She was only a length of Promise Of Success with a big gap to third. Is clearly flying and deserves a win.
(2) Parachuter won well 2nd up at Goulburn and will probably lead the field up from barrier 4. Has a heap of speed and Tim Clark will get the best out of him.
(1) Ladylovestogamble looks to have come back in terrific order, running a good 2nd behind Miss Fox, narrowly being beaten. She’ll be fitter for that run and might get the run of the race in behind the hot speed.
Tip: (9) Beep Test - $3.40 at Bet365
Saver: (6) Rathvilly Miss - $8.00 at Ladbrokes

(1) Chains Of Honour has had a little freshen up since changing stables to Maher/Eustace. This stable has a reputation for getting the best out of horses over this longer trip and I think that’s exactly what this horse needs. Jmac has been booked and the horse is a proven performer in this grade.
(2) Daysan is clearly loving life in Aus, having won two of his three starts since arriving. This is his toughest test to date but looks like he will only be better as he step further out in trip.
I think (10) Little Kitten can be an improver dropping down in the weights for this. Was only a length off Daysan and Arabolini last start and meets them better at the weights here. Can roll forward and might be able to fill a hole.

Can’t see any reason why (5) Promise Of Success won’t be winning again after an impressive win last start. She got back and let rip down the outside for an impressive win and only rises 1kg from that. Will enjoy give in the track and I think the rise to 1400m will do her no harm. Looks progressive. With that being said she’s short enough in the market here.
(6) Splendiforous should take a heap of benefit from that first up run where she went well over a trip short of her best. Has been a winner 2nd up and loves 1400. Stable/jockey airborne.
(7) Head Legislator got a much deserved win on the board last start following an incredible string of 2nd placings. He bolted in there and might be the confidence builder that he needed to go on with it.

I think that (7) Blesk can make a winning return to the track and looks ready to fire fresh following some good work at the trials. This horse absolutely flies first up and handles all conditions. Will be spotting them a start from gate 10 but there will be speed on and hoping Bowman can just finish over the top of them.
(9) Torun looks hardest to beat and has race fitness on his side. Two runs in this prep have been good and he arguably should’ve gone closer on both occasions. Ready to peak 3rd up now and draws well for Nash.
(8) Super Contender goes well 3rd up and can probably find the rail in running from barrier 3. Has been racing well this prep and looks suited dropping back to this trip after not handled the 1400m last start.
Tip: (7) Blesk - $3.80 at TopSport

Pretty hot race this with a few last start winners and Saturday-grade horses dropping back to this level.
I think they might’ve worked out how to ride (5) Jojo Was A Man following his last start win over 1500m. Went straight to the front and gave nothing else a chance for Bowman. He beat Different Strokes that day who has since come out and bolted in and I think he’s going to eat up 1800m now 4th up and rock hard fit.
(1) Kingsheir drops back to midweek grade today and will be looking to find some improvement after disappointing performances in stronger grade. He might be looking for this trip now and can bounce back.
(6) Ita is absolutely flying, winning three on the bounce in good style. Her record now reads 10:4-4-0 so she’s extremely hard to knock. This is her toughest test to date.
(2) Mayfair Spirit went down a pimple last start over 1900m. Still has plenty of improvement to come at just his 4th start in Aus.
Tip: (5) Jojo Was A Man - $7.00 at TopSport
Betting Strategy: 1u WIN Jojo Was A Man
