It’s a cracking card of racing at Sale for this inaugural Good Friday meeting. There’s eight races on the card and plenty of winners to be found.

The track is currently rated a good 4 with the rail in the true position.

Billy Bestford has previewed three races where he’s found a few horses he is keen to back.

(8) Splendiferous came to Melbourne in search of dry tracks and her run last week at Caulfield was the best we’ve seen of her this prep. She was unlucky not to win and really savaged the line. Up in trip now 4th up on the quick backup I have to stick solid with her.

(6) Rapid Achiever will be mighty hard to beat and is flying at the moment. The stable are the best in the business at getting horses out to a trip and she is ready to win again.

(9) Star Of Eden was only pipped by Yonce last start over 2000m which is pretty strong form for this. She’s super honest and will give herself every chance up on speed.

(3) Uncle Bryn was desperately unlucky first up behind Old Flame. That horse has since run a good 2nd last Saturday. Barrier 8 is much better for him today and stepping up to this trip will be a big positive. Zahra takes over and I think this horse can get the last crack at them.

(5) Baretta stormed home from a mile back on his Australian debut to win in impressive fashion. Up in trip suits but barrier 1 is a slight concern for a get back and run on kind of horse.

(4) Worthily finished off his first local prep with a good win and should take big improvement into his second preparation. I think he will improve off whatever he does here.

(6) So You See has only had three career starts and she is clearly very talented. She bolted in on debut and then was unlucky not to beat Barb Raider and Argentia in a strong race. She then pulled up with post race problems last start and if she brings her best today she will be winning this.

(4) Brooklyn Boss looked very good winning first up and will appreciate getting out to the mile now. He’s 2 from 3 to start his career and can continue to progress.

(10) Sempreinte is a strong front runner and has only been run down late at his last couple. He’s hard fit now and will take some catching.

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
