It’s another Sunday afternoon of racing and Scone plays host to an 8-race card today.

The track is currently rated a heavy 8 but with little rain predicted we could see a slight upgrade come race time.

There looks to be some tough races throughout the day but read on as Billy Bestford has found a few he likes and brings you his best bets on the card.

(3) Jazirat is a very good horse fresh and is proven in wet conditions. Will enjoy this drop back in grade after tackling a good midweek bm72 at Canterbury. Looks a bet.

I was keen on (2) Very Sharp last start and she saluted so I see no reason to jump off today. Was a strong winner over 900m and now looks ideally suited up in trip here. Still lightly raced and is building a good record. Natural improvement will see her hard to beat.

(3) Chasing Comets looks a touch of value and should improve here 2nd up. Likes it wet and can fill a hole.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
