(11) Strike Eagle should be winning this. Strikes a very winnable maiden after taking on harder races all of his career. He raced in a bm70 at Flemington last start and wasn’t far off Sunfall. Gets Currie on from barrier 2, the stable fly at this track and I think he wins.

(4) Teleporter started favourite on debut but failed on a heavy track. Not sure what to make of him but he can obviously improve.

Going with another McEvoy horse in (8) Night Passage who comes here first up at 1400m. First up last prep she wasn’t far off Corner Pocket at The Valley which clearly reads very well, and that was over 1200m. She’s better suited at 1400m and will be charging to the line.

Happy to be against (2) Court Deep with the 4kg apprentice on who still hasn’t shown me enough to back with any confidence.

Trent Crebbin

Trent’s interest in the thoroughbred started out as a spark with Black Caviar, became a flame with Winx, and has now intensified into a burning obsession with Arcadia Queen. He started out throwing loose change on random trifectas at the pub, but it wasn’t long before he was watching replays and looking at sectionals, weights and markets. Trent specializes in Victorian racing and hopes his first winner as an owner is just around the corner.
