(5) Unwritten was good first up after a long spell and should take a heap of improvement off the back of that run. He’s won a trial very impressively on a heavy track so the conditions should pose no problem and maps for a nice run for Bowman.

(7) Rocklily came within a nose of breaking her maiden last start and she looks primed to win 3rd up now. 

I thought the trials of (6) Wine Talks weren’t too bad leading into his debut but he just never looked likely there. Jmac sticks for the 2nd start today and can improve now.

Been pretty impressed with the trials of (3) Omni Man who makes his debut for a strong stable. He showed good speed in two of those trials and won impressively without really being asked to go full throttle. Looks above average and has the best front-running jockey in the business on board.

(1) Devil’s Throat didn’t have much go right last start but was very good in two starts before that and I think you can be forgiving. He’ll win a race soon and looks a good chance again. 

(9) Dalchini is another debutant who’s looked good at the trials, winning both comfortably. Wouldn’t surprise to see her right in the finish.

(3) Maurice’s Medad is clearly the class horse in this field. He comes out of some strong performances in black type races last prep, including a 2nd to Converge in the listed Fernhill. He finished 6th in the G1 Champagne and while this trip is short of his best, the trials have been sharp enough to think he can win here. 

(4) Finally Realise has been flying this prep and was unlucky not to win again last start in a tight finish here. He’s on the quick backup so is clearly still going well and loves racing here.

(6) Yulong Turbo won impressively on debut last prep in Adelaide before taking on the top line 2yo’s in the Blue Diamond Prelude. He has his first start for Waller now and looks better suited in this grade.

(2) Brookspire is a smart horse and looks to have come back in good order following a nice trial behind Atishu. That horse has since come out and made it’s mark last Saturday with a big win. He started single figures in the G1 Australasian Oaks last prep so clearly he is well placed back in this grade. Strong record this track/trip. 

I like the setup for (4) Armatree who has been rising in distance each start this prep and getting better each time. 3rd up now out to 1400m he should be ready to fire and has race fitness on his side.

Happy to have put (6) Calgary Queen on top who resumes today. She’s built a nice record and has won on a heavy track before. Jmac takes the ride today which is a strong lead from the stable and she can give this a shake.

(4) Sunrise Ruby is a proper swimmer and should love the conditions today. She chases a 4th straight win following an impressive win in a Saturday Highway and can measure up to these again. 

(1) Seleque is back in midweek grade after a good 4th in a strong race at Randwick. She handles all conditions and looks well in following Brock Ryan’s claim.

Don’t see any reason for jumping off (6) Toomuchtobear who has been flying this prep. Goes in search of a third straight win and while up in grade, he gets a drop in weight from a dominant last start win. Should be able to sit up off the speed from barrier 5 and I think he will be winning again. 

(1) Off Shaw is the danger especially if the track is very wet. Was a very tough winner last start at this track last week and i son the quick backup here today. Gets in well after the claim and will be the one they have to run down. 

Thought (2) Stuck With You was the value and looks over the odds stepping up to a more suitable trip now. Is a much better horse with a run under his belt and has been competitive in races as good/better than this. Should enjoy the wet.

(2) Jawwaal returns to racing today following a long break. He grows another leg on wet tracks and has been fitted with a good trial in the lead up to this. Looks ready to fire fresh and showed ability in some strong races last prep. 

(3) Loch Lomond was a winner first up last prep before building a strong record, culminating in a 7th in the Provincial Championships. Is still only lightly raced and can make a winning return to the track with Hugh Bowman on board.

(7) A Very Fine Red is the new blood, having two starts to his name and has been trialling well. Looks to have ability and can definitely win here, just needs to handle a wet track.

(4) Not Another Reiby is flying for his new stable, winning both starts this prep and loves the wet conditions. Will put himself in a winning position from the low draw.
