(5) Lady Court was a surprise winner on debut but did it well and can progress here. The time was fairly strong and the map here looks ideal from barrier 4 to sit just behind the speed.
(3) Invincible Crown got a deserved win on the board here over 1500m last start. He looks the obvious danger to the favourite and 1600m should be no issue.
(7) Miss Cheviots next best dropping in grade but barrier 1 is a bit sticky.

(7) Alverdun might be able to control this race from barrier 2. They went very slowly last start and he was outsprinted by one from the back, but they put a decent gap on 3rd and I think a faster run race will suit.
(12) Riverina Cyclone was just overrun by Invincible Crown last start and will give herself every chance from barrier 3.
(11) Magic Promise looks ready to win but she’ll have to give her dangers a head start from the barrier which is the query.

(3) Matao Ma resumes gelded off a couple of nice jumpouts. He took on some hot races in his first prep and wasn’t disgraced. He’s shown speed in his jumpouts but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s crossed from barrier 1 which is a small query.
(6) Treporti was good on speed first up behind Squid Game who looks a fairly talented horse. He’s also taken on some hot races in his career and might try to pocket Matao Ma from barrier 4.
Couldn’t really split the two favourites as the market suggests and think it’ll come down to which one jumps the best and is able to try and hold the front.
Tip: (6) Treporti- $2.70 at Ladbrokes

Have to stick with (7) Sacred Lass who arguably wins last start when the winner just managed to get to the outside earlier and pinch a winning break. She’s back to her own sex here, hard fit and racing well.
(4) La Spezia looks ready for the longer trip now after back-to-back wins this prep, the latest at this track over a mile. She won her maiden over this trip in dominant fashion last prep.
(5) Queen Adele had every chance last start and stuck on okay behind Ruru. She beat Rosseau last prep, who fell in against Sacred Lass last start.

(7) Kev’s Girl is the 955m specialist in the field. She had to sit wide and was just nailed on the line by Sweetzou first up, who is a good 955m horse herself. Drawn barrier 1 here, if Holland is aggressive early I think she can hold the front and will take plenty of running down from there.
(9) Hurtle played up pre-race first up and did well to run 3rd. Drops back in trip here and draws wide so I’m not sure what the tactics will be.
(12) Estoril Park was good in the same race as Kev’s Girl last start but draws wide here and I lean to Kev’s Girl of the two.

(2) Chase On The Case makes some appeal here. He sat close to a strong tempo last start (7.6L above avg) and did well to run 2nd to Laundy who had a sweet run midfield. He should be able to find a spot behind the leaders again and run well.
(7) Starspangled Baby is racing well, coming off a 2nd in the Traralgon Cup to Huntly Castle. He drops back to the mile but did run well at this T/D two back in a similar race. He maps well.
(10) Sheer Treasure looked impressive winning from last off a slow speed last start at this T/D but was given a good swooper’s ride, able to creep forward 3 wide when they packed. That wasn’t a very strong race and he could see a different race shape here, yet still have to circle the field.
(12) Pitchanun next best but she’s short enough as favourite in an open race.

Happy to be with (1) The Regiment to beat the favourite. He was unlucky last start in the Donald Cup and should’ve won with clear air earlier. He goes well at Moonee Valley and has run well over 1950m and 2000m in the past, so I don’t have an issue with the 2040m tonight. If he can lob midfield and get into the clear around the turn he’ll be hard to hold out.
(5) Laundy chased well to get just his 4th career win last start over the mile. He’s run well over this sort of distance and gets a very soft run from barrier 3. He should be ready to peak here 3rd up coming out of a genuinely run race.
They look the obvious two but I think The Regiment can get the job done.

Not hard to find but (5) Clemenceau looks very hard to beat in the last. He was okay on a heavy track on debut last prep, beaten 3.3L by the very talented Dragonstone, and his first up win at Hawkesbury was dominant, coming home in a very fast 32.75 second last 600m despite half jumping/changing legs at the 100m mark which looked a bit awkward. Drawn 1 here, I think he can hold the front and if he does, it should be all over because nothing in this field can match those late splits.
(6) Transplant looks the one to threaten if the favourite does things wrong. She jumped out well leading into this prep and was solid first up at Ballarat, working through the line well. If she can settle closer from barrier 4 she’ll be the one making late ground.
1200m is likely a bit short but watch for (8) Indian Doll who has jumped out quite well and showed a bit of talent in her first prep. Wide gate here likely means she goes back.
Tip: (5) Clemenceau- $2.05 at TopSport
Betting Strategy: 4 units WIN Clemenceau
