(5) Zougotcha handled the heavy 10 best on debut at Canterbury, scoring by 3L with a further 5L back to third. Draws wide here so will likely go back as is the case with most Waller runners when they draw wide. That makes it tougher than on debut when she got a gun run but it was hard not to be impressed with how she won.
(9) Captain Bond started $1.65 on debut at Hawkesbury but only managed 3rd. I’d be respecting that SP given you’re getting $13 today.
(2) Czar was the winner of that race at Hawkesbury. The Snowden colt draws ideally in barrier 4 but it’s very strange that Tommy Berry jumps off in order to ride a horse for Chris Waller that’s 50/1.
Tip: (5) Zougotcha $3.00 Moneyball
Value: (9) Captain Bond $13 PlayUp

(5) Just Field comes here fresh and has a dynamite first up record with three wins from four starts. She’s run two placings from her two starts on heavy ground and although the 1100m could stretch her, fresh is the time to get her.
(2) Mosht Up is flying with three wins and two placings from her past six starts. She was beaten 0.25L on a two-day back-up at Newcastle last start. Maddi Derrick rode the horse that beat her in that race but jumps off to reassociate with Mosht Up here. Gets 2kg swing in the weights from Newcastle too, so should go well.
(3) Impulse Control was the horse that beat Mosht Up at Newcastle – she loves the wet with all four career wins coming on rain-affected ground.
Tip: (5) Just Field $8.00 Ladbrokes

Looks a nice race for (15) Fourmadec who will be sure to be popular with punters. Has won back-to-back races in Canberra and now comes to a Class 3 Highway with James McDonald booked from the inside gate. Never seen a heavy track before which is some query, but his sire had a good record on soft ground.
(12) Keen Contributer has run consecutive placings on the country circuit and wasn’t all that bad in a Highway three starts ago. The drop back to 1400m a query though.
(3) To The Nines was well-beaten in the Country Championships Final three weeks ago but will find this much easier.

Waller has a mortgage on this race with the top two in the market and it really does look a terrific race for (4) Aleas with JMac on board. His Australian debut was a very good one, coming from the back of the field to record the fastest final 400m of the race, finishing 4th. Will be much better suited up to 1800m now and he’s undefeated on heavy ground.
(6) Irish Sequel gets Pike booked and he’s another that loves the wet. He’s had six starts on good ground for just one minor placing but has four wins and four minor placings on rain-affected ground. He’s never won below 1700m so the rise in trip will also suit him.

(3) The Big Easy comes to Sydney in search of his favoured wet ground. He’s not hopeless on god ground – he’s placed seven times – but both his career wins have come on rain-affected ground. One of those wins was at Rosehill last prep on a heavy 8.
(5) Sense Of Honour ran 3rd in a small field at her first run back for 89 weeks. She’s clearly got ability but has clearly had issues too.
(8) Kir Royale resumes from a three-month break. She has two wins and two placings from four starts and looks the most progressive horse in the field. Draws to do no work but first up at her first go on heavy ground is a slight query.

Looks a good race for (3) Quintello here who bolted in first up at Mornington, scoring by 4L in a small field. She showed plenty of ability before that but that first up run suggested she’s gone to a new level this prep. Has handled soft ground OK in the past so hopefully the heavy ground here is no issue. JMac on, drawn softly, looks very hard to beat.
(5) Elusive Jewel was dominant resuming at Goulburn. This is obviously harder but she has been competitive in town in the past.
(6) Devil’s Triangle ran 2nd to Shelby Sixtysix four starts ago and has won consecutive races at Canberra leading into this.
(9) Arranmore si racing consistently and another win isn’t far away.

(2) Andermatt couldn’t have been more impressive first up at Canterbury, bolting in by 6L on the heavy 10. That took his first up record to 4/4 and that’s the main query today – he hasn’t been able to win in two starts when second up previously.
He meets (10) Dragonstone 6kg worse off at the weights for that meeting at Canterbury. The 6L gap is a bit one to turn around, but if Andermatt is flat, Dragonstone finds himself in with a very winnable weight with just 51.5kg on his back.
I’d rather be taking $2.00 for Dragonstone to run a place than $1.60 for Andermatt to win.

(3) Diamil will also be hugely popular here and so long as the track is allowing horses from the back to run on, he looks to be the winner here. He was good first up on Australian debut over 1250m at Canterbury, and then went to Warwick Farm over 1600m and bolted in. The horses that ran 2nd, 4th and 5th in that race have all come out and won since, which is a great sign for the strength of his form.
(5) La Chevalee comes here third up and should relish the track conditions. She’s had five starts on heavy ground for three wins and a 2nd.
(1) Palmetto is an interesting runner on Australian debut. The Kiwi won consecutive races before dropping back to 1400m last start on good ground and running a narrow 3rd. Undefeated on heavy ground so worth throwing in numbers.

Competitive race this and I won’t be getting involved.
Interesting to see the tactics on (4) O’President after he turned his form around last start with a change in tactics to race on speed. That’s how he raced with success as a juvenile and it paid dividends after he was ridden cold first up. What do they do from barrier 2 here with Taksu drawn outside, lead or hand up?
(7) Taku gets a 2kg weight swing on O’President from that last start and I would think they’ll try to lead again. The wetter the track probably the better for him.
(3) Kinloch won the Provincial and Midway Championships Final last start. This is harder than what he beat there and he’s failed in both third up runs previously.

(2) Francesco Guardi is likely to be the best horse out of this race but first up, 1400m on a heavy track with just one trial under the belt from barrier 15 is a bit of a risk. JMac gets straight back on him and he’s clearly a good horse but it wouldn’t shock anyone to see them snag him back from the gate on a testing track.
(5) Nikau Spur was a good run first up at Canterbury. Carried 60kg from the wide gate, went back to last and finished off well. Should improve with that run under the belt but he’s another that will go back from the gate.
(7) Uncalledit was a good Australian debut at Canterbury. All four career wins have been at this distance so should improve, just whether he might want a firmer track?
(9) Amulet Street knows how to run a place.
Tip: (5) Nikau Spur $6.00 Neds
Also Backing: (7) Uncalledit $7.00 Neds
Betting Strategy: 0.5 units WIN Nikau Spur, 0.5 units WIN Uncalledit
