(1) Foujita San should really just be winning this off the back of his debut run. Really took it to Zamborghini who is pretty handy and should take plenty of benefit out of that run. Up to 1400m now no knock and this is his race to lose.

(3) King’s Crossing has had a few jump outs showing good speed and winning the most recent of those. Will go forward and looks the logical danger to the fav.

(2) Dream Hour looks the one at odds who could cause a blowout result.

Odds Last Updated: April 6, 2022, 1:05pm (AEDT)

(1) Chief Altony resumes today and he has the class to be competitive in a race like this. The 3kg claim is a big positive getting him in well at the weights in this company. He was last seen finishing a 1L 2nd to Mr Brightside who obviously won the Doncaster on Saturday. First up last prep he also ran 2nd to Corner Pocket so the form around him is clearly strong.

(6) Rockribbed will have fans but was rolled at a similar price last start. Didn’t have things go right there but the fresh win was very good and he is clearly smart.

Don’t mind (7) Djumbuck having a little freshen up and dropping in the weights compared to previous runs. Not sure how well he is going but his best can give this a shake.

Tip: (1) Chief Altony - $5.10 at BoomBet

Betting Strategy: 1u WIN Chief Altony

(2) Convict Sam ran out the 3000m very strongly last start and now gets a weight swing on Budd Fox who beat him there. He is rock hard fit now and dropping in the weights will see him go close.

(5) Rider In The Snow was 2nd up to 3000m last start in that same race. Sure to improve now 3rd up and Jamie Kah taking over is a big positive.

(1) Budd Fox won that race 2nd up and it was impressive, going to the front and not really giving anything a chance. No doubt he is going well and sure to give them something to catch again.

(4) Nordic Pride has been racing consistently without winning but gets a good chance here. Will be better suited getting onto dry ground now.

(3) Worsfold ran 3rd in that same Mr Brightside race as mentioned above. He was extremely unlucky throughout the whole prep and should have won more than the 2 races. He’s unbeaten twice from first up runs previously and can sprint well enough over this trip fresh. He gets a good apprentice claim and looks well in back in bm64 grade.

(4) Unfair Dismissal was good dropping back in grade last start for a win. He’s been competitive in better races than this and that win will do his confidence a world of good.

(7) Electric Belle is well back in grade for this and was only beaten 3L last start in a bm80 at Flemington. With any luck from gate 1 she can go close.

Tip: (3) Worsfold - $2.50 at BoomBet

Think (7) Don Diego can take the next logical step up here rising to 64 grade off the back of his strong debut win. Let down from the back to record a dominant 3.5L win and ran very good time in doing so. Up to 1400m now looks no worries at all and I think Lane can give him a nice run from barrier 3. Might need luck in the straight but if the gaps come he should go close.

Scared of (1) Vasmee and I don’t want to lose on him. Was a proper win in this grade over this trip two back before starting favourite in a strong race at Flemington. Wasn’t suited there but gets things more to his liking here.

(6) Set The Sails maps for a lovely run just off the speed and has been racing in top order. I think back to 1400m suits.

(3) Horrifying can run well here after a good return behind a smart one. Closed the race off nicely there and stepping up to the mile now is ideal. Is a winner 2nd up previously while Jamie Kah taking over is always a plus.

(9) Dunkerry resumes off the back of some nice jumpouts and he put together an impressive debut prep. Was last seen finishing less than a length off The Cunning Fox at Flemington who is a multiple city winner since.

(2) Sir Davy notched up a well deserved win last start and has been a picture of consistency. He looks ready to tackle 1600m off the back of that run.

(8) Reliable Dude is next best.

(9) My Delight won’t get a better chance than right here. Overraced last start but is hard fit now and the form behind Nerve Not Verve looks pretty strong now. She draws much better here today and gets a nice drop in the weights.

(6) Look Sharpish bolted in dropping back in grade last start but has been racing super consistently in these sorts of races. No doubt she is right in this again.

(4) Laybuy will put himself up on speed as he always does and deserves another win. Doesn’t look to be a heap of speed in this and can get things his own way up front with Oli on board.

(7) Shultzy is flying this prep and looks to make it three in a row. Deserves a crack in town now.

(5) Do Ya Punk was a good winner on debut, rounding up the field in the straight. The horse than ran 2nd there has since come out and won well. This looks a logical step up in grade and the wider draw gives him room to move.

(6) Tramontana arguably should have won fresh, only being beaten a lip after the jockey saddle slipped. Strong record 2nd up and looks as if he has come back well this prep.

(2) Finance Choice wasn’t disgraced in a strong sprint race at Flemington last start. Back in grade and up in the weights here but is going very well and form around is strong.

(9) Deep Blast was a forgive run fresh and won well 2nd up last time out. He looks the value chance in the race.

(3) Morean can win here dropping in grade after a number of good runs this prep. She was beaten less than a length by a smart one last start and Jamie Kah sticks for the ride. She looks to get a nice run on the speed here.

(5) Head First is another lightly raced filly and she was good on resumption. There’s no doubt she can go on to win better races than a midweek 64.

(6) Morioka was okay fresh but is much better 2nd up. Wouldn’t shock me to see her bounce back.

(16) White Wedding gets the blinkers on now and while she can mix her form, I feel like her best can win this. Back to 1200m suits her.

(10) Commands The Field is hard fit and racing very well. Looks a big price in comparison to Head First considering they crossed the line together last start.

Tip: (3) Morean - $5.00 at Ladbrokes

Betting Strategy: 1u WIN Morean

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
