The track is currently rated a good 3 with the rail out 2 metres.

(4) Wise Dragon is on the quick backup following an unlucky 2nd last Saturday. He started a very short favourite there in a stronger race and draws well here. The claim is a positive to offset the big weight and I think he can break through for another win today.

(7) Benjamery drops in grade as well and is also on a quick backup. Has been racing well this prep and looks the value.

Thought (1) Magnavale could be a massive improver 2nd up getting back to his beloved Wagga track. He had five starts for four wins here and generally races well with a run under the belt. Good 2kg claim and can lead them up and take some catching at an each way price.

(4) Shores Of Avalon resumes and has always shown a bit of talent. She’s been competitive in much stronger races than this.

(2) Oriental Runner will be having first start for the new stable and brings some pretty strong qld form. Will be a big watch.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
