Some quality racing today at Warwick Farm and Billy Bestford is keen to get the cash early in Race 2.

lol Wednesday racing in Sydney heads to Warwick Farm where there is a strong 7 race card to sink our teeth into.

It’s been sunshine all week in Sydney and the track is currently rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true position.

Best Bet: Race 2 – (2) Billiondollarbaby

Billy Bestford is keen to play in a few races throughout the day, and is looking to get the cash early, with his best bet coming up in the second race of the day.

Was keen on (1) Billiondollarbaby on debut and she was impressive there, with a strong front-running win. Don’t see any reason to jump off her in what looks a race of similar standard. She beat home Port Louis that day who has since come out and run a very good 5th in the G1 Champagne Stakes after being backed off the map ($34-$5)!

(3) Bella Rouge makes her debut today off the back of a very good trial win. She hit the line extremely well under her own steam and looks to have plenty of ability. Jmac sticks with her from that trial today and she looks the danger to our top selection.

(7) The Move looks one of the more interesting runners of the day as Tony Gollan brings this smart 4 year old down to Sydney for the first time. Has been running well up in QLD this prep and comes into this after a little freshen up and a very good trial win. Has the talent to win this.

(2) Shadow Crush wears blinkers first time and looks ready to peak 3rd up from a spell. Should enjoy sitting just off a strong tempo and be strong late.

(5) Key Largo will be another who will benefit from the hot speed up front. Should get a nice run from the low draw and is always finishing strongly.

(5) Bravado was very good first up running on strongly in the inferior ground on the day at Hawkesbury. Will only take improvement from that run and now finds Bowman from the gun draw.

(11) Zelfiy looks a decent EW chance after a strong win in this grade last start. Think she is a much better horse on top of the ground and that win might be the confidence booster she needed.

(2) Midland is as honest as they come, having missed the placings just once in 7 career starts. Bolted in at Wyong before a little freshen up coming into this race today.

With the late scratching of Juan Diva, I have (1) Willowheart on top. Came extremely close to a first up win over this trip a few weeks ago. Campbell RAwiller rides again and will use his claim to offset the top weight. Will be fitter from that and be hard to run down.

(4) Strawb always has to go in the numbers based on her raw ability. Her racing manners are always a concern but best performances have come when fresh.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
