Billy Bestford has found two races he is keen to bet into, including a big value chance in race 4.

We look to Wangaratta today where there are 8 races on the card and as always, plenty of winners to be found.

The track is currently rated a Good 4 while the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit. Plenty of sunshine is predicted and it looks like a great afternoon of racing in country Victoria.

Honestly thought (13) Rose Of Bordeaux was over the odds. Granted the short priced favourite will be hard to beat, but this horse is a massive chance to run top 3. Probably should’ve won last start and has been building towards a peak performance. Gets a low draw today and should enjoy great run throughout. Yes t0 1400m and keen to play mainly on the place.

(14) Sacred Snow will take plenty of beating off the back of a good fresh run where she was well supported. Can’t get near her at the current $1.60 quote though, and happy to take her on.

Thinking (11) Sabre Princess is a big winning chance here on the back of a very good fresh run behind the smart Nikau Spur. That horse will go on to win some good races and I think that form is strong enough for this. This filly is only very lightly raced and looks to have come back in good order. The rise in trip will suit and only career win to date came 2nd up last time in work.

(8) Arivakova will only get better as she gets over a longer trip but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him run well here. This stable can always produce a good fresh horse and is clearly still untapped after a strong maiden win at then end of his last prep.

(4) Ultimate Edition has a likeable racing style and will probably roll to the front and try to repeat his winning performance last start. Will give a good sight as always and be tough to catch.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
