7. A Lot More Love (1) J: Tim Clark (55kg) T: G Ryan & S Alexiou

(3) Robusto only needs to take natural improvement from a good first up run to be winning here today. Went down as a very short priced fav there but he ran on pretty well and looks ready to win now. Draws well in gate 3 and the slight rise in trip will aid his cause.

(4) To His Credit looked the goods winning most recent trial and the stable generally know how to produce a good 2yo this time of year. Draws well and will be right in this.

(1) Affadavit next best.

16. Facetime (4) J: Ms Kathy O'hara (54kg) T: G R Nickson

Don’t mind (1) Baranof here who was very good fresh when competing as a gelding for the first time. It took a pretty smart one in Mars Mission to beat him and he should be much better suited with that run under the belt. Draws well and should see nice run.

(2) Kipsbay was well-backed last start in a strong race on the Gold Coast but was pretty flat there. Previous run before that was very good and thinking he is a big chance to bounce back today.

(4) Stromboli looks ready to do something now following two good runs to start the career. Has been building nicely to a peak run and if Bowman can weave some magic from the wide gate he is a chance.

(6) Fazzabeel started less than $5 in all three career runs down in Victoria. Maybe the switch to NSW might help and looks a big price considering SP profile.

Tip: (1) Baranof - $8.50 at Sportsbet

Value: (6) Fazzabeel - $26 at Bet365

Betting Strategy: 1u WIN Baranof, 0.25u WIN Fazzabeel

34.44.15
10. Taborca (3) J: Reece Jones (55kg) T: C J Waller
11. Yasamine (2) J: Ms Rachel King (54kg) T: R & M Freedman

(2) Benaud was a very impressive winner first up on debut last prep before going on to tackle some very hot black-type races. He finished 3rd in the Gloaming and 5th in the Spring Champion behind Profondo in his next two starts and did not look out of his depth there. Back to this sort of grade looks a great starting point to this prep and he has also been gelded. Big watch.

(3) Stick To Your Guns has been costly to punters this prep, going under as a short fav both runs. Will be primed now 3rd up however and is a promising horse.

The gelding op clearly did the trick for (4) All England who broke through with a very impressive win last start at Canterbury. Could go on with it now.

(9) Paternal was good winning on debut and looks a horse with plenty of upside.

(10) Taborca looks the value runner in the field.

Tip: (2) Benaud - $7.00 at TAB

Betting Strategy: 0.5u WIN Benaud

10. Champagne Vega (9) J: Ms Rachel King (54kg) T: Joseph Ible
111715
11. Lava (2) J: Unknown (54kg) T: Edward Cummings

(1) Greek Hero could be a good chance rising to 2200m for the first time. This is much easier than the race he comes out of and he has been in good form this prep. Christian Reith generally rides him pretty well.

(3) Maid Of Ore didn’t have the best of luck last start and looks ready to rise to this trip now. She is good enough to win this.

(6) Don Arcangelo finished 4th last start but was beaten less than a length in a very tight go. Should be ready to win one now.

172620
12. Twice As Special (3) J: Tyler Schiller (54kg) T: J C Coyle
15109.6

(10) Roots clearly jumps off the page as the one to beat here considering the sort of horses he has mixed his form around. Beaten just half a length by Fangirl at 2nd start is very good form and has trialled up reasonably well leading into this prep. Think he might be ready to take the next step now and won well over this trip when fresh on debut.

(8) Beep Test looks the obvious danger and is a smart horse in her own right. Unbeaten in two starts over 1200m and has only missed the trifecta once in five starts.

(6) Evening Bride has been flying this prep and looks a promising horse for the stable. He just got too far back last start but hit the line strongly.

(4) Bethencourt has trialled up nicely for this and he’s usually very competitive in these sorts of midweek races. Should roll forward and gets in pretty well after the claim. Will give them something to catch.

(6) Ashim was a forgive run first up when not seeing much daylight in running. Suited up to 1400m where he has won before and there was good backing for him in that last start.

(8) Overlord will be right in the finish and was only just beaten last start in a similar race to this. Will be ready to peak now 4th up.

(2) Score is a very interesting runner havign first start for the new stable since arriving from Victoria. Was a very good run last start and has been kept fresh for this with Jmac booked. Watch the market.

(8) Eye See Things regularly finds one better but rarely runs a poor race. Was well backed fresh when only just missing and should take plenty of race fitness out of that run. Handles all conditions and should be in the finish.

(10) Brooks Battle is a lightly raced 4yo, with two wins from three starts. Has since changed stabled and this will be his first run for over 12 months. If the money comes for him look out.

(11) Miss Baltimore will enjoy dropping back to this trip following a solid run over 1250m. She’s building towards another win.

(5) Sunborn can pop up and run a good race fresh and still has upside.

(12) Stormborn keeps runnign well without breaking through this prep. On the quick backup here.

Tip: (8) Eye See Things - $8.00 at Sportsbet

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
