I’ve had (1) Invincible Vision in my blackbook for a while and he has been seen at the trials on many occasions. He’s showed plenty of ability there and is now making his debut at the ripe old age of 5yo. The latest work leading into this has been good and I think he looks a more than attractive price today.

(11) Ruinart will be hard to beat. Started a short favourite on debut in a very strong maiden before finishing down the track where things clearly didn’t go right. You’d expect O’Shea to have those issues sorted out now and Jmac jumps straight on as a good lead.

Tip: (1) Invincible Vision - $4.80 at Bet365

Cracking race this with some handy horses engaged.

Leaning towards the smart (3) Great News who I think is just the best horse in this race. Obviously the barrier is a query and the rise in trip but she should have won the Toy Show first up behind Fituese and her form is better than any of these. She’s got a great record here and is a bulletproof horse, rarely putting in a poor run. Price looks generous.

Speaking of bulletproof (2) Charleise is a beauty. She adapts everywhere she runs and you can see by her rceent record she is airborne. Wins in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane last prep were super impressive and she just needs to get room at the right time to be a chance from the low draw.

(12) More Prophets was a deserving winner last start in a decent Saturday race. Should enjoy the slight rise in trip and pace looks genuine enough for her to swoop.

(5) Starla is flying and can’t knock the winning form she brings. Drops 4kg from her last win and maps for another perfect run in transit.

Tip: (3) Great News - $3.70 at Ladbrokes

Value: (5) Starla - $13 at Ladbrokes

Betting Strategy: 2.5u WIN Great News, 0.5u WIN Starla

Absolute lottery this but a good field for the Wyong Gold Cup this year.

(2) Dashing Willoughby is the big query runner for me first up for Waller after contesting the Melbourne Cup at the end of last prep. Never really found his form in his first local prep but I think he is going to be a massive improver in this stable. Trials leading in have been good and he’s more than capable of winning over this trip on the fresh side. Jmac to steer from a good draw and happy to have something on hoping he can return to some form.

(3) Inverloch looks the likely leader and was very good over 2000m last start, sticking on well to finish 3rd behind Harpo Marx. He’s on the quick backup so clearly is going well.

(4) Laure Me In is one of the few who brings winning form to this race and he’s probaly more consistent than a lot of these. The slight rise to 2100m should be fine and he will be strong late.

(15) Perfect Radiance next best and is flying at the moment.

Tip: (2) Dashing Willoughby - $6.50 at Sportsbet

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
