Think it’s worth taking note of the Hawkes bringing (1) Sleipnir straight to Sydney after an encouraging debut performance at Bendigo. That has turned into a very handy maiden with the winner impressing again as favourite in a strong race during the Warnambool carnival. The 2nd placed horse also bolted in by 5L its next start so I think it’s a race worth following moving forward. Berry jumps aboard and should see every favour from gate 1.
(4) King High was good on debut after a tough run in transit. Will only be fitter and take plenty of benefit from that. That race has turned into a handy form reference.
