Have always had a bit of time for (2) Star Cherie and she’s as honest and tough as they come. Had no right to win last start at Wyong over 1000m but kept finding under pressure to win. Has been given a few weeks between runs now and I like her back onto a dry track. 

(1) Gidgee Guy just doesn’t know how to run a bad race this prep but just can’t manage to break through. Finally gets onto a good track where all his career wins have come. 

(5) Undeniable comes south from QLD following a narrow 3rd at a big price in a decent form race. Always runs well 1st up and should be right in this.

Keen to see (8) Princess Amira stepping up to the mile for the first time. Did enough fresh to suggest she’s come back in good order and she is 1/1 when 2nd up. Looks to get an easy lad from gate 4 and she’s a much better horse on top of the ground. 

(7) Narrated is lightly raced and comes into this off the back of two good runs over 1400m. Bolted in fresh on a heavy track before running 3rd as favourite. Gets Jmac now and he will give this horse every chance.

(3) King Of Hearts was a big run for 2nd last time behind a handy horse in Mystic Rebel. He comes into this 4th up now and race fitness should take him a long way here. If he has any lucky from the wide gate, he will be winning and I like the fact McDonald sticks from the last start 2nd. The bigger Hawkesbury track should suit his racing pattern. 

(1) Da Nang Star had excuses last start at Kenso but the run before that was very good when well supported in the market. Suggest he may have bumped into a handy one there and he can hit back today.

(9) Fayerra will take a heap of improvement out of her fresh run following a lengthy spell. She was taking on some hot races last prep, with a 4th to King’s Legacy clearly strong form.
