Hawkesbury will play host to an eight race card this Thursday and we’ve got a couple of best bets to get you through the day.

The track is rated a good 4 with the rail in the true position.

(4) Anotherthinkcomin’ looks a good chance to make it two wins on the trot. Should find the lead for Clark pretty easily and the switch back to this trip last start did the trick. Peak fitness now and I think he’ll be tough to reel in.

(6) Noble Soldier is definetely good enough to win here and you can forgive his last start performance. That was a better race than he faces here and the win before that was strong.

(8) Gumnuts looks the value and comes into this on the back of two 1200m runs. I like that they’ve stepped him up in trip now and 3rd up is where he does his best work.

I think (5) Pandora Blue could be in for a big prep and showed plenty of talent in two starts last time out. Trialled well, Buchanan stable is airborne at the moment and Bowman is booked to ride. This race lacks a bit of speed and he should be able to cross without too much issue and find a prominent spot in running.

(8) Ruby Kisses comes into this after a solid showing in the Furious Stakes. Well beaten there but much suited back to this level and will have race fitness on her side.

(7) Perlant looked like the winner last start and I’ve always thought she looked a decent horse. Might be ready to do something now and Collett is riding very well at the moment.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
