I was keen to be with (7) Starry Legend on Friday night and this looks easier. He’s a very fast horse over the short course and looks well suited here. He’s jumped out well, finds a fairly comfortable lead if he jumps as usual and with 56.5kg after the claim he’ll be very hard to run down.

(2) Rock Tycoon can run another honest race, he’s flying this horse coming out of stronger grade, drops back to 1000m but the form around Corner Pocket reads very well.

Another that I was keen to follow second up is (2) Snapper who wasn’t suited over 1000m first up when just not as sharp as Twist Of Fury. They scratched from a wide barrier at The Valley for this, he should go straight to the front and be hard to run down.

(14) Cheerful Legend is the obvious danger down in the weights first up and his 3yo form is okay for this.

Trent Crebbin

Trent’s interest in the thoroughbred started out as a spark with Black Caviar, became a flame with Winx, and has now intensified into a burning obsession with Arcadia Queen. He started out throwing loose change on random trifectas at the pub, but it wasn’t long before he was watching replays and looking at sectionals, weights and markets. Trent specializes in Victorian racing and hopes his first winner as an owner is just around the corner.
