(5) Liberty Steps was well backed on debut and ran solidly enough. Much better for that run and I think in a wide open race he is a good winning chance dropping back to 1200m.

(1) Jamarra looks very close to a much deserved win and is building nicely. He is ultra consistent and form around him is strong for this.

(6) Plus Fours made up a stack of ground on debut to just miss the winner. Looks to have a bit of upside about him.

(11) Clemenceau looks extremely hard to beat here resuming today and chasing a fourth straight win. Went through undefeated last prep and only loss has come on a heavy track. Low draw gives him every favour today and I think he just wins.

(6) Destination could be the main danger 2nd up off a good fresh performance. The stable is airborne at the moment and rising slightly to 1100 suits.

(8) Magnajet is a super fresh horse and looks to lead this from barrier 1. He will be the one that they have to run down.

(1) Point Nepean looks mighty hard to beat off the back of a dominant 5L win 2nd up. That was bm84 grade and he drops to 78 here and while he is up in weight I think he still rates highly in this field. Will go to the lead and should be tough to catch.

(8) Oh So Far looks a decent price and has been super consistent this prep. Ran very well up in grade last start and should get a nice run off the speed.

(11) Witchita Star is proper flying and keeps answering the call rising in grade this prep. Gets in nice and light and is sure to be in the finish.

(4) Eureka Street next best.

(12) Mamounia should appreciate getting onto dry ground following a solid enough run in Sydney behind the impressive Honeycreeper. Had been building nicely this prep and I like Jamie Kah taking the ride from a nice gate.

(3) Celestial Fury has had two runs as a gelding this prep and both have been full of merit. Home in very quick splits last time out over 2200m and looks ready to peak 3rd up to this trip now.

(6) Mediaro took on the top liners last start and finished well back behind Anamoe. Still only lightly raced however and much better suited back to this sort of grade.

(1) The Cunning Fox won well last time out at Bendigo and looks set to relish the 2400m.

(7) Tavabeel is an up and coming stayer and the maiden win will have given him a big confidence boost. He could go on with it now.

(15) Star Waltz looks a decent enough EW chance off the back of a good fresh run. Should have finished closer there and trials had been good leading into that. 2nd up winner previously and I think she is right up to this.

(7) My Yankee Girl hasn’t missed the quinella in four career starts and should improve into her 2nd prep now. Like the upside about her.

(2) Najmaty is tough to assess because she really struggled last prep. Her racing manners didn’t help being slow out of the gates but a recent jump out was really impressive. Her best form would see her go close.

(8) No Way Ever can continue on an upward trend this campaign and looks ready to go to a new level following that first up win.

 

Tip: (15) Star Waltz - $14/$3.80 at TopSport

Betting Strategy: 0.5u EW Star Waltz

(2) Chassis was good first up having first run for the new stable and she is a much better 2nd up horse. Was keen to follow wherever she went next and this looks a very winnable race. Back to 1100m might not be ideal but in a small field she gets a nice run from barrier 6.

(3) Miss Albania looks a crazy price. She’s super speedy and with a few key scratchings that wide barrier doesn’t look too bad at all. She can roll to the lead and is unbeaten from two 2nd up tries. She’s started close to favourite in the majority of her races.

(5) Jump The Broom is unbeaten in four career starts and clearly is an exciting talent. Dug deep to win well fresh but this is tougher and she looks short enough.

(4) Forever Free next best.

 

Tip: (2) Chassis - $5.00 at Moneyball

Value: (3) Miss Albania - $15 at Moneyball

Pretty keen (2) Pondus runs well here and it took Crystal Pegasus to beat him last time out. His win two back was super and I like him back to 2000m now where his record is very good. Gets the right run today.

(4) Zayydani was very good first up over a trip short of his best. He’s much better suited now and if that run is anything to go by he will continue to progress well.

(7) Defribillate is honest and racing well this time in. 4th up now he’s ready to pull out a peak run.

(1) King Of Leogrance is a bit of value here. Never a chance first up in the Blamey when they walked up front. That race has turned into the form race of the carnival. He’s enjoy a better tempo today and out to 2000m suits. On best form he can win.

Value: (1) King Of Leogrance - $23 at Sportsbet

Betting Strategy: 1.5u WIN Pondus, 0.25u WIN King Of Leo

(3) Kissonallforcheeks was never a hope on the bog track in Sydney so it’s worth putting a pen through that run. The start prior was a dominant win over a strong field and back to 1400m is much more his go. Tough to beat.

(9) Ayrton was one of the boom horses of last year but has since had a few issues. Comes back from a spider bite here today and on talent he’s obviously going to be tough to beat. Recent jump out was good but he looks a touch risky here fresh.

(2) I Am Superman sucked me in last start where he looked a cracking bet. Not sure if he travelled all that well or if he is just struggling at the moment. Wouldn’t shock to see him bounce back out of the blue.

(1) Streets Of Avalon ran a blinder in the All Star Mile to finish 3rd behind Zaaki and I’m Thunderstruck. We’ve seen what those horses have done since.

(6) Glint Of Hope really took it to My Whisper last start and carried big weight to only go down a nose. That horse has since won a group 3. 3rd up now this horse is flying and is ready to win again. Keen.

If (2) Gundec can run out a strong mile he will be tough to catch. Two wins on the trot this prep and looks to be going as good as ever.

(13) British Colombia has a bit of upside and can roll to the front and give a good sight.

(1) Douceur probably should have won last start. He’s a 3rd up winner in the past.

(4) Fortunate Kiss is flying and looks to get a much better run than last start. Right in this as well.
