(6) Takemehometonight makes her stable debut for Martin Allan here, having previously raced for Justin Warwick. They paid quite a bit for this filly and they can make an immediate return here in a suitable race.

(7) Somethingready was luckless in defeat at Northam last start, held up badly late in the race. Probably would have won with any luck there. Drop back to 1000m some query but draws the inside and the cutaway in the straight means she will definitely get a run this time around. Hard to beat.

(8) Hot Tonic should go well on debut for Simon Miller, while (2) Missile failed on debut but did start $3.40 there so has to be respected first up with no trial.

(4) Ghobella was good in defeat last start I thought. She had to do some work to kick up and sit outside the leader, she hit the front a long way out and just got left a sitting duck for those coming from behind her. This is D-day for her.

(10) Port Beach tackles the 1700m first up, but that’s not unusual from the Fred Kersley stable. Joe Azzopardi booked straight away and this horse did race well fresh last campaign. Expecting a good run and looks value at $26.

(5) Cheerful Moment made an eye-catching WA debut last start, coming from last to run 3rd. Draws an inside gate today so may be ridden more positively and should be going very close here.

Pike goes on (8) So Likeable for Brock Lewthwaite, and these two always have to be respected when they combine. Was given a very easy time of things late last start but with Pike going on, looks ready to do something.

(1) Karjini Aurora really gets its chance to win, dropping from a Saturday 72+ grade race back to a Class 3 fillies and mares on a Wednesday. Pike goes on and she really should be very competitive today.

Looks a two-horse race here between (2) Holy Ghost and (3) Irritable Rodnee. The market has come for Irritable Rodnee who is currently the short-priced favourite after winning easily first up in wet conditions at Pinjarra. That was a Class 1 and he steps up to a Class 3 now, and he does look the horse to beat.

At the prices though, I’ll be on Holy Ghost, who just always runs a good race and now finds a very suitable contest. He struggles to win, with just one victory from 22 starts, but he’s been racing in Saturday grade for most of the prep and now drops back to a Class 3 on a Wednesday. Last time he raced in this company he ran 2nd to the talented Kaptain Kaos. Think he is very hard to beat here.

(6) Miss Vasari returns from a spell for Dan Morton and Chris Parnham. Won well on debut and then was competitive at her next two starts, running 2nd to Standout Rose and Iseered Iseered. Looks hard to beat if she’s at her best.

(3) Cross Statement comes out of a strong race behind Secret Plan and Nobel Laurence. Back to Wednesday grade now, will go forward and be hard to run down.

(1) Ghost Who Walks beat Cross Statement a couple of starts ago so has to be respected, while Pike goes on (9) Dream Evil who was a good winner first up at Pinjarra.

(3) Forest War is racing well and drops from a Saturday race to a Wednesday race here. Did win two starts ago and handles these conditions. Just needs a bit of luck from barrier 10.

(5) Mastering wasn’t too bad first up and should improve second up today.

(2) First Law pulled up lame last start and won prior to that so can bounce back.
