This is the easiest race (1) Mura Mura has contested for a while and comes into this first up run with two strong trials under her belt. The form around her stacks up with placings behind the likes of Ranch Hand, Sneaky Five and Tiger Of Malay. Just needs to put it all together today to be in with a big chance.

(5) Authentic Jewel was quickly spelled after a good 4th in the Gimcrack behind Enthaar. Has had 4 spaced out trails since then and can make a massive improvement here today.

(3) Dragonstone is an interesting debutant and has shown ability at the trials. Stable is going well at the moment and is a big watch.

(2) Ibaraki looks a serious horse going off what we’ve seen at the trials. Stable has taken plenty of time with this horse and Tommy Berry takes the ride today after riding in both winning trials. Keen to see what he can do here on debut and confident he’ll go onto bigger and better things. Thinking we might get better than even money closer to the jump.

Thought (3) Optimo was a touch over the odds coming into this on debut. Won two trials leading into this race today and wouldn’t be surprised to see him run well.

(4) Silly Point ran well in his debut prep down in Victoria, stringing together a couple of placings in races that have turned into handy form references. Keen to see him here in Sydney after a strong trial at Rosehill recently and maps for the gun run.

(1) Barrichello should be expected to take massive improvement from a decent debut over this same trip last month. Jmac takes the ride today which can only be a positive.

(6) Allintothistogether is another horse who has looked the goods at the trials. Will have plenty of options from gate 6 and wouldn’t shock if she made a winning start to his career.

(5) Miss Fox was very well supported in the market when first up over this trip on the Kenso track. She will be much fitter for that and is a winner 2nd up in the past. Will be suited getting onto a wet track and still has plenty of scope to improve.

(3) Turnstyle was too bad to be true last start in a stronger race at Rosehill. Has trialled since and looks ready to go again back at the races. Was a big winner two back over this trip and loves it wet.

(7) Irish Angel is another who will love the sting out of the ground and has won similar races to this in the past.

Pretty keen on (5) Fastconi who looks ready to win now 4th up. Been knocking on the door for his 2nd career win and interestingly will wear blinkers for the first time today. The low draw should see him roll forward and hopefully Jmac can do the rest.

(6) Stoical is the obvious danger, coming into this off the back of a very strong win first up over 1000m. Looks extremely well suited rising slightly in trip and maps for every possible chance today.

(2) El Cohete can fill a hole dropping back in grade today. Was solid 1st up in a strong Saturday race and 2nd up record is extremely good. Likes it wet and is the main danger to the two favs.

Tip: (5) Fastconi - $2.35 at Ladbrokes

10. Eden Vale (1) J: Jay Ford (54kg) T: Mark De Montfort
678171717581

(5) Titanium Power looks a big chance on the quick backup from last week. Ran a very good 3rd over 1400m and think he must be going well for the stable to place him here again today. Stepping out in trip looks ideal, handles wet ground and think he can go close.

(1) Acrophobic is bursting to win one this prep after finishing strongly to only be beaten a nose last start. So long as he isn’t ready for a spell, he’s a classy horse and should be a winning chance.

(2) Canyonero was doing his best work late at Canterbury and really savaged the line there. Gets back and needs a lot of luck but looks a strong each-way play.

Tip: (5) Titanium Power - $5.50 at Bet365

Tough finish but don’t mind (3) Time Raid to run well. Gets out to 1900m after only being beaten on the line last start over 1550m. Was very well backed that day and Hugh Bowman sticks for today’s ride. Can lead or box seat and give a good sight.

(4) So Wicked comes out of a handy form race behind Mubariz, who has sicne won again on Saturday. Has a great record this track/trip and looks an each-way chance.

(2) Montserrat continues to run well and should be ready to peak 4th up. Will roll forward and take some catching with the 3kg claim for apprentice Tyler Schiller.

(16) Sir Aglovale should be ready to go 3rd up since being gelded. Never really looked likely last start when well in the market. Handles wet tracks and barrier 4 with Berry to ride is a perfect setup.

Tip: (3) Time Raid - $11 at Bet365

Betting Strategy: 0.5 units WIN Time Raid

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
