This is a benchmark 58 with a long tail. (2) Boogie Woogie is by far the best horse in this race and is the only one coming off a victory last start. Last start at Albury on the heavy 9, Michael Heagney brought him into the race on the bend and let her go at the perfect time to hold on for a 1.3L win. With Heagney retaining the ride, he comes into this third-up and will appreciate any sting out of the track if there is any, but it isn’t necessary. He knows this track and distance well, finishing second on all three occasions he raced here and, in the past, has had no issues carrying the 59kg. Expect him to be extremely hard to beat.
