I really like (7) Seduction Queen after an fantastic run at Hawkesbury despite having to do the hard yards. She was left flat-footed in the gates and as a result was slow to begin from the wide barrier. The Kermadec filly flew home from near last to finish 2.2L in 6th, running home in 34.33 for the last 600m. She does handle the going which isn’t going to pose an issue and she gives every indication that the step up to 1800m will suit. The filly is drawn well and will be fine wherever she ends up in the run in this small field. She is nice each-way odds.
(3) Bob is going to get an easy lead here with Harmony Rose coming out. He has tackled this distance in his past three races for a win and placing and looks ready to tackle it again with the claim of Tom Sherry. Happy to speck him also with the odds on offer.
(2) Kermanding is coming off a nice maiden win at Kembla, I just have a query over the wet ground but has to be in the top four.
(4) The Elanora next best.
Top Pick: (7) Seduction Queen – $10.00 at TAB

This is another race where I will be playing two, purely because the second pick is entered elsewhere, and I like the odds-on offer for it here. Top pick is (4) Easifar on the back of two solid placings. First-up she almost ran down the talented Private Cheetah at Kensington after being slow away and wide throughout the race. She then stepped up over the 1300m at Warwick Farm at short odds and proved disappointing sitting outside the eventual winner. I think she is better suited settling and chasing rather than being on pace. She should handle the 1400m with no issues providing she handles the ground and from the nice barrier will be able to sit behind the leaders and conserve her energy for the run home.
(6) Ruddock is the other I want to play providing he races here and not Kembla Grange. I loved that run behind Shaddy at Newcastle where she finished half a length in second despite missing the kick. He ran home in a flashing 33.76 for the last 600m which is massive first-up. Louise Day will get a 2kg claim and should get a nice run in transit. Nice each-way odds.
(2) Newsreader is coming back from Listed grade back to maiden but has been disappointing this preparation. Don’t leave him out of exotics.
(3) Think High next best.

Going with (12) Kiku here on the back of a nice trial. Despite not winning, her first preparation was a success in my eyes. First-up at Kensington she come home nicely from the second half of the field and only just missed beating Panna Cotta. Then I don’t think she was overly suited to Canterbury but still ran credible finishing 1.1 lengths off Bellevue Star and 0.3 lengths off Elizabeel who has since won twice and ran well in two stakes quality races. This will be her first outing as a three-year-old and I think Kathy O’Hara will give her every chance from a nice draw.
(1) Cat D’Oro the well-bred colt is returning from a let-up after a solid yet somewhat disappointing start to his career. He handles the ground and is probably screaming out for a big track like this. Nash will put him in a winning position at some point.
(10) Cross The Rubicon is another returning as a three-year-old and faced some quality opposition in her first two races of her career. Keep in exotics.
(4) Noble Privledge next best.

I am looking for (2) Great News to continue her winning ways as she looks to make it four on the trot. The Uncle Mo mare uncharacteristically led last start at Newcastle and just held on to victory first-up over the 1200m. She gets an extra 100m which looks ideal and she should be in a good spot behind the leaders from the inside barrier. She showed last preparation she can handle the heavy track, but she will have to do it in a better grade but will be helped by the 3kg claim of the inform Tom Sherry. I hope they accept for this race and not the last.
(8) East Asia was immaculate last start and expect her to be flying late providing she handles the conditions in this grade. Pat Webster has stuck with her regular jockey in young gun Brandon Griffiths who will get a nice 3kg claim.
(5) Dorothy of Oz will be in this a long way and will lead from barrier two. Keep her safe.
(10) Egyptian Missile I have a soft spot for, step up in grade and may be good for exotics.

(10) Perfect Radiance ran nice time at Newcastle first-up despite being eased up late in the piece. The form stood up nicely with Knight winning next start and I genuinely believe this girl is untapped. She only had two starts at as a two-year-old, winning her debut with ease and then got thrown in the deep end on a heavy 8 against Peltzer and Overlord, finishing fourth by 5 lengths. She gets an ideal draw with a low weight to sit behind the leaders here and will be the one they have to beat in the final stages.
(8) Private Cheetah will set the tone of this race and if he gets easy sectionals in front, he will be hard to run down. But I think with a bit of pressure, I think 1400m may be a touch too far for him now, but I could be wrong.
(7) My Demetra was solid first-up but I think needed the run. Drawn well, Tommy Berry on and some sting out of the track means she can’t be left out.
(9) Crosscheck is the next best.

I thought his first-up run was good when finishing 2.6 lengths in third behind Enchanted Heart, who has since come out and won. (9) Atlantic King was taken back from the wide barrier by Jason Collett and ended up racing wide throughout and losing a plate in the game run. Coming into this with a run under his belt and performing well on a heavy track last preparation against a better grade puts him in good stead. Unfortunately, he may have to go back from the barrier but will even luck he can settle closer and really give this race a shake in the straight.
(8) Glamour Fox is probably another I will have a small play on each-way at the odds as she goes for three in a row. She is drawn well and has been competitive under the current track conditions in the past, so I believe she is over the odds at $21.00
(2) Gone Bye should be in the finish of this.

(8) Spaceboy has the figures to make a mockery of the bookies putting up $4.80 about him. His record first-up is good, will head forward from the barrier and worse case scenario sits outside the leader, carries no weight, and loves the distance and the track conditions. Kathy O’Hara gets the ride once again and is 4/4 on him which gives me more confidence. The only chink in the armor would be the step-up to a benchmark 100 but he very well could step up to that with the right run.
Another on-pacer with a chance is (4) Blazing Miss is performed well in the Nivision but was just outclassed. Back to an easier grade with the sting out of the track and no weight, she is a winning chance.
(6) Pandemic has the form on the board behind Villami and California Zimbol looks good for this though the conditions put doubt in my mind.
(11) Superium next best.

I want to play an up and comer from Newcastle here with the odds-on offer and on track conditions. (12) Never Talk is an undefeated No Nay Never filly who incredibly won last start, if you get a chance watch the replay. She is drawn poorly here but will scratchings and/or emergencies coming out, she will have a better barrier to play with. She is talented and with no ceiling for her yet, I’ll back her at nice each way odds.
(2) Belluci Babe is the one to beat here though she has to contend with weight and track conditions, but don’t dismiss her, because she could blow us away.
(7) Paquirri is one for the exotics.
(18) Great News next best if they run her here.
Top Pick: (12) Never Talk – $6.50 at Sportsbet
