Looks an absolute two horse race in the Pinker Pinker Plate and I’ve sided with (2) Impecunious who comes out of the Stocks Stakes at group 2 level. She didn’t have much luck there from barrier 2, held up and forced to go up the inside without much room. Out to 2000m suits and I’m keen to see her on a genuinely soft track, which she hasn’t seen in Australia yet but loved in NZ.

(3) Mahashakti is a clear danger and put in her best run of the prep last start in the Benalla Cup out to 2000m. 4th up here she should be ready to peak and draws nicely with the senior jockey going on.

(12) Quintello looks well placed here. I like her back to 1400m off a small freshen after perhaps not seeing out the mile last start in a stronger race. Her win prior over 1300m at Sandown was very stylish and given her SP profile I’m surprised she isn’t shorter here.

(10) Bold Manner is the danger with plenty of upside- her first up win was good and she can measure up.

Trent Crebbin

Trent’s interest in the thoroughbred started out as a spark with Black Caviar, became a flame with Winx, and has now intensified into a burning obsession with Arcadia Queen. He started out throwing loose change on random trifectas at the pub, but it wasn’t long before he was watching replays and looking at sectionals, weights and markets. Trent specializes in Victorian racing and hopes his first winner as an owner is just around the corner.
