All of this newcomers have shown decent ability at jump outs and trials so very little confidence to start the day.

(7) Skyforger has jumped out really well and I have no doubt Jamie Kah will be using the inside barrier to advantage in this big field. Sure to see every chance in run.

(17) Liberty Steps has the benefit of race day experience and was solid enough there in a decent race at Sandown. That backed up a good trial and he maps well dropping back to 1200m.

(15) Queen Of Fire looks the value and comes into this off a good jumpout win. Stokes horses generally fire fresh and looks to get a nice run today.

(13) Queen Of Nations has looked above average at her jumpouts and have no doubt that she will be winning a maiden soon.

No knock (19) Gulf Of Lion and (1) Body Bob who both look winning chances.

(5) Shines has looked super impressive at the jump outs and I think she can kick her career off with a comfortable win here in a weak maiden. She’s shown good speed in her recent work and should map comfortably forward today from a low draw and be tough to run down.

No doubt that (6) Songaa looks a danger and is another who debut after some nice trial work. Think he will be winning a race soon enough.

(3) Barclays Bank is close to a win, stringing together three placings across his last four starts. He’s been gelded for this prep and has really improved in last two runs.

(1) Dun Warrior should have won on debut and it was a sick watch if you were on him that day. He had no room whatsoever at crucial stages and only got clear when it was all over. He exploded once the gaps opened and still almost won! Will come on from that and expect Kah to give him every chance today from barrier 4. His trial work was very good leading into that debut.

(4) Kurolation is ready to win after two good runs to start his career. He’s hard fit now 3rd up and looks the main danger to the favourite.

(2) Enuff He Said ran well having first start for new stable behind an impressive winner. Sure to take improvement out of that and the winner there has since won well again.

(5) And She Was is much better suited with a run under the belt and out to 1500m now. She draws well in barrier 1 and I think she will take some catching with that first up run in the legs now.

(7) Reckless Moon is super genuine and has been racing very well without winning of late. Once again gets a good chance to break through today.

(1) Headcount comes out of a strong maiden with a couple of subsequent winners and looks fit and ready to win 3rd up. Prebble sticks for the ride again today.

(3) Springvale Road is the new blood and the market has liked him early.

(3) Kaliuwaa Falls bolted in here last start to break his maiden and loved the blinkers applied there. Think he is ready to go on with it now and there was plenty to like about that win.

(1) Angel won a recent jumpout by a big space and showed good speed in doing so. His work before that wasn’t as impressive however and he looks short enough having his Australian debut.

(5) Bring The Stars looks over the odds considering some of the races he ran well in last prep. He’s had a little freshen up and can be a big improver back to a midweek C1.

I think (7) Romany Rocks can sprint well enough fresh to win this. She showed plenty of talent in her debut prep and had no luck in a strong race behind Espiona at Flemington when last seen on the track. Recent jump outs have been really strong and I think she is ready to go to a new level now.

(6) Miss Melbourne has kicked off her career well, with a win and two placings. She missed the kick last start at MV but found the line well enough. She’s been freshened for this and will be given every chance by Kah.

(4) Making Contact is still very lightly raced and stable have taken their time with her. She can win.

(9) Litermont is ready to peak now 4th up and comes out of a strong race last start. She crossed the line with Adele Armour there who bolted in on Saturday in town. She’s back in grade for this and looks over the odds for mine.

(5) Smiling Amos won on debut as a short price favourite and it was a solid enough performance. Sustained a long run to round the field up and I’m sure he will take a stack of improvement out of that.

(8) Heroic Chief will enjoy getting up in trip after savaging the line fresh. Another win looks close for him.

(6) Villaden won very well when fresh last prep on debut and form around him last prep is very strong.

(3) Frankenstar was a pass mark fresh in a stronger race than this. Out to 2400m is much more his go and has been a winner 2nd up in the past. In a wide open race he looks to get a nice setup.

(8) Paris Pike is usually thereabouts in these sorts of races and will appreciate getting out to this trip. Doesn’t win out of turn though.

(5) Artillery Force has been racing well and is another who gets up to a trip he likes.

(2) Hey Happy is a winner at only run here at Geelong and has been kept fit with 3 runs this prep and two trials recently.

(9) Diamond Back next best.

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
