(1) Edge Of Darkness was a little flat last start after an encouraging return run. He’s better than he showed there and this looks a pretty open race. His only career win had come when 3rd up over this trip so it looks a decent recipe to bounce back. At the price I’m willing to have something on.

(7) Ultimate Man looks the hardest to beat following a good fresh run and really hit his straps towards the end of last prep. Winning strike rate is obviously a concern but he’s going as good as ever now.

(8) Flying Pretty next best.

I think (9) Go Fernando could be tough to run down and I like the setup for him today. He was only just beaten in this grade last start and strips fitter now 3rd up. Has a very good record winning twice when 3rd up previously and should be able to dictate this from the front without much company.

(1) Helmet Head drops in grade and rises in trip which should be a nice recipe for an improved showing. This stable is always very strong here on the home track.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
