Happy Valley Racing Tips: Wednesday, December 1st

Hong Kong horse racing takes place at Happy Valley tonight with nine races on the A-course.

Race 4 – Nightjar Handicap – Class 5 1800m (11.15pm AEDT)

Keen to have something on (5) Success Allstars here, who comes off a very good first up run when finishing 2nd after settling near the rear of the field. He has a good record at the Happy Valley 1800m with two wins from four starts, including one which came second up last preparation. Draws well in barrier 4 and while the Ferraris/Chadwick combination isn’t one I’d normally be very confident backing, it seems relatively simple from that gate.

Race 8 – Sand Martin Handicap – Class 3 1800m (1.15am AEDT)

I think (3) Tianchi Monster is ready to win now. He was good three starts back over the mile at Sha Tin, then drew barrier 12 two back before finishing a slightly unlucky 3rd over this track and distance last start. Big jockey change tonight with Moreira taking over from Hamelin and he draws well in barrier 2. Notably, Moreira jumps off Savvy Kingman who has won his past two starts.
