(5) Shamani wears blinkers here 3rd up and looks a good chance back in this kind of grade. Has been working well this prep and think the drop back to 1500m will suit. Can give this a shake on best form and stable looks like they mean business today.

(3) Kibosh is as consistent as they come, having only missed the quinella once in six career starts. Will put herself up on the pace and is always tough in her races. Like her getting out to this longer trip for the first time 4th up and should be rock hard fit today.

(1) Highballer looks the likely leader and comes into this on the back of a good debut win. Gets in light with a 3kg claim and should be in this for a long way.

(4) Raison D’etre promised plenty early in her career but hasn’t really reached the heights many expected. With that being said she still has talent and will only improve on a tough fresh run. Won’t mind sting out of the ground and should enjoy the gun run with Rachel King sticking for the ride.

(3) Explosive Truth broke through for a well deserved win when first up in his third career prep. His form around Count De Rupee is obviously strong and should be in front of many of his main rivals.

(7) Duchess has been building to a career best performance after running 2nd to a handy horse in Cream Rises. Should be near peak fitness now.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
