WA racing goes to Narrogin on Sunday afternoon, which hosts the nine-race card which was originally set down for Mount Barker.

Tim Geers is keen to bet in two races in the first half of the card – Race 3 and Race 4.

The track is rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true position, with the tight corners typically favouring horses on speed.

(4) Millivoy trialled like a nice horse leading into his debut, but he couldn’t have raced any greener than what he did at Northam. He laid in horribly behind the leader and ran around like he was drunk. He still ran 2nd and the winner of that race (Butterfly House) should have won again during the week. Think it’s a decent form reference and if he’s taken some learnings from his first run, he should be too good here.

(5) Ambergate Rose is ready to win now after two good runs and gets Troy Turner replacing the apprentice Keshaw Dhurun. This horse ran the fastest final 400m of the meeting first up, then sat three-wide the trip in a very strong form race last start. It’sarayday won that race and then came out and ran 2nd in a Stakes race at its next start (probably should have won), while Airlie Queen was back in 3rd and bolted in at her next start. If she’s close enough on the turn she’ll be hard to hold out. Red Inferno maybe the danger.

Tim Geers

A trip to Hong Kong quickly had Tim hooked to the racing caper, maintaining the best place anywhere in the world on a Wednesday night is Happy Valley. He holds a strong interest in the Hong Kong form, along with the metropolitan racing in Sydney and Melbourne. He’s a fan of dry tracks, Zac Purton and takes particular interest in identifying patterns in the form. Tim wears many hats, juggling the roles of form analyst, jockey manager and racehorse owner.
