(1) Little Flirt carries top weight here but should still be hard to beat. She tends to mix her form a bit but normally bounces back after a below par run. Won in this grade at Belmont two starts ago and drops out of Saturday grade back to the midweeks here. Should take some beating.
(3) King Cruzer steps up from a Class 1 to a Class 5 which is a query. I think they’ll probably let him roll a bit more today than what they did last start and he’s going to be hard to run down, but at the prices I’d rather be with Little Flirt.
(2) Fire Maker next best.

(1) Egg White has relished getting up to this sort of distance. He put in two good runs before failing in Kalgoorlie last start but sometimes the travel to Kal can play a part in horses underperforming, so I’m happy to forgive him for that effort. Has to carry the full 60kg here so will need to be at his best but I think if he reproduces his form from two and three starts ago, he’ll be hard to beat.
Something also on (2) Bonjour Noir at double figure odds. This horse was beaten out of sight first up, but it did the exact same thing first up last prep before bolting in when stepping up to this distance second up. Fred Kersley horses can do that so don’t be surprised to see a much-improved run today.

Great little race.
The Williams team and Bob Peters just continue to roll out the cerise and white debutants at Northam, with (6) Uncompromised adding to the list here. Drawn 1 so should get a good run throughout and like most of the other stablemates we’ve seen go around in these races recently, should be very hard to beat.
(7) Electric Rose is a horse I’ve had plenty of time for but just hasn’t been able to crack it for a win yet. Bumped into another smart cerise and white runner first up and might just find another here.
(5) Deo Volente can run well on debut after an encouraging recent trial. Has already been about $86 into $26 so watch the market closely.

(3) Serviceman has only raced once but that was an eye-catching effort when finishing off strongly behind Hoi An, who then went on to win the Gimcrack and the Sires’ Produce at Group 3 level. Looks a very good form reference for a maiden at Northam, but this is a deep race.
(10) Snip Of Glory trialled really well at her most recent effort and she looks ready for the races now. The draw in barrier 9 isn’t an easy one for Patrick Carbery but she found the line strongly under very little pressure in her trial and if she can get a tow into the race, she’ll get her chance to run over the top of her rivals.
(2) Justamiddy is racing very well without much luck this prep. Should get an ideal run from barrier 2 and looks a decent each way bet at $7.50.
(6) Real Danger was about $3.340 into $2.10 last start, sat three-wide the trip and went down by half-a-length. Obviously has strong claims.

Liked the trial of (8) Passion Prince who found the line nicely behind horses and was put under very little pressure. Pike goes on for race day and this isn’t a strong field so if it has any sort of ability it can be winning this on debut.
(1) Hoist The Colours can be included at double figure odds. Showed good improvement at his only trial for the new stable and should make his own luck up on speed.
(7) Dais comes out of the same trial as Hoist The Colours, finishing behind him in 3rd, but did find the line OK late.
(9) Our Girl Boram has only had the one 400m trial which is hard to rate them off, but it was behind a very smart winner in Ponyo who will line up in a red-hot 3YO Classic ($100k) this weekend.

(7) Beloved Star should be winning this but I’m not sure I’d be diving in at the $1.35. Improved with the step up to 1400m last start and the horse that beat him goes OK but I wouldn’t say it warrants diving in at that price.
(1) Ethical Secret can give some cheek. Has been around the mark in these sorts of races previously and just needs a good ride.

I’ll be against the odds-on favourite (9) My Fury here. The win last start was certainly impressive but he was entitled to do so and this is a stiffer test.
Happy to side with (6) Black Fantasy who won well two starts ago, where he defeated Beloved Star. He then ran in a 3YO Plate on a Saturday behind some very handy types in Red Fifty Three and Let’sdeal, which is very strong form. Back to a Class 1 on a Wednesday now, draws well and will be very competitive.
(3) Circle The Sun should take improvement off that first up run at Belmont. Back slightly in trip today but he can still give a sight here at double figure odds.
(5) Rogues Point next best.

Not keen to back anything here.
(6) Famous Jurney won his maiden first up and then got nosed out in a Westspeed Platinum race on a Saturday last start. This looks a nice race for him but I will say the form out of those Westspeed Platinum races is often unreliable.
(8) Shock Result looks very short at $4.00 to me. He did beat home Ponyo in a recent trial and that horse will line up in the $100k 3YO Classic omn Saturday, but even so, Shock Result’s form is hardly trustworthy.
(9) Type Won gets Pike who did win on her three starts ago.
(2) London Miss has very good ability but looks to be using this as a paid trial.
Tip: (6) Famous Jurney $4.40 TopSport
