Billy Bestford is backing three horses as we look to find some winners to round out the working week.

We’ve got racing at Nowra on the South Coast of NSW to round out the working week and it’s a handy little eight race card. There’s been a bit of rain around and the track is currently rated a Heavy 8 while the rail position is as follows: +2m 1200m-800m, +3m 800m-350m.

Billy Bestford has taken a look at the meeting and doesn’t mind the look of a couple across the afternoon. Read on to see his best bets and hopefully see in the weekend with a few winners!

(2) Reoffender looks a massive chance here 2nd up after a very good run fresh over 1200m. This looks an ideal setup today with the wet track in his favour, with all three career wins coming on rain affected tracks. The step to 1400m is a plus, maps for a nice run in behind the speed and is a winner this track/trip.

(3) Deel With Me looks the main threat and still has plenty of scope for improvement after a first up win last start. That was his first race since October last year and the stable has taken their time with this horse. Will only improve here.

Thought (12) Factorize could continue on her winning ways after two very comfortable wins in weaker grade. Deserves a crack here and looks well over the odds I thought. Gets through the wet and is in career best form. Happy to play each way.

(9) Glorious Dream is clearly the horse to beat having won her last two starts before going for a spell. Hasn’t been seen at the trials and looks the most progressive of this bunch. Will enjoy the conditions today and Mcdougall to ride is a positive lead.

(2) Formmeinaway should run well after a little freshen up following a good 2nd over 900m on a heavy track. Won a recent trial impressively and looks a good winning chance.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
