This is the best credentialed maiden in this race and although she has had 11 cracks for no wins, she has placed 8 times. (5) Zounate has trialled well in the lead up to this race and I expect him to be firing fit here. He has met a few strong ones in her career, and I believe this is the easiest maiden race he has faced. He gets back on top of the ground for the first time since May and I believe he will excel, especially running over 1400m and after the tough 1175m trial at Warwick Farm. Although I am not the biggest fan of the draw, he creates his own luck by going forward and will give us a massive sight in the closing stages. I expect his fitness to get him over the line.

This bloke will be better for the experience he had in his first run in late July and I expect him to relish coming back to on top of the ground. (4) Solva was good but not great on debut and seemed to handle the heavy going okay but looked as though he struggled a touch. He has had a nice break and had one nice trial in the lead up to this and I expect massive improvement for the Exosphere gelding. I love the addition of Grant Buckley here as he knows Orange well though I do query the draw as Grant will have to try to slot in somewhere. With even luck, I think he is a massive chance.
