16. Psychiatrist (4) J: Tim Clark (57kg) T: G Ryan & S Alexiou

(12) Nolan was very good on debut, running much better than the market expected. Was only beaten by a pretty smart one there and should improve off the back of that.

(1) Alpha One could be an exciting horse and has trialled nicely leading into this debut run. Draws for a soft run in transit and I’d expect him to be right in the finish.

(16) Psychiatrist is an interesting runner. Tackled the Breeders Plate on debut, finishing down the track behind some star 2yos. Trialled nicely leading into this and this is obviously a much easier starting point.

(4) Sha Of Gomer will be popular for the Jmac/Waller combo and will run well.

Tip: (12) Nolan - $6.00 at Sportsbet

Also Backing: (16) Psychiatrist - $8.50 at Sportsbet

Hoping (2) Money From The Sky can return to the track a winner today following an up and down sort of debut prep. Started favourite against Profondo at 2nd career start but flopped before then going down as a short favourite at next start. The trials leading into today have been good, hitting the line from out wide reasonably well.

(4) Stray was pretty unlucky when first up last prep in that same race. Finished 2L off Profondo and then went on to take on some strong races. Will be ready to win a couple this prep.

(3) Dresden next best.

Can’t see why (5) Cap Estel can’t win again following a very good 2nd up win. Was very well supported that day and it was a great rail-hugging ride by Collett to get her home. She’s a horse on the up and can take the next step here today.

(2) Score will be having first run for the new stable since joining from Melbourne. Has been scratched a few times but her form in Victoria was pretty good. The 2kg claim is a positive and the change in scenery might be what this horse has been looking for.

(1) Cafe Royal is the class horse in the race and tackled a much stronger Saturday bm78 last start. Pulled up with some post-race excuses there and you can probably forgive that run. Looks much more suited back in this grade.

Tip: (5) Cap Estel - $4.00 at Ladbrokes

4.4
7. Caribbean Stud (3) J: Glyn Schofield (54.5kg) T: Anthony Cummings
8. Cap Estel (2) J: (54kg) T: Anthony Cummings

The win of (6) Sinba last start was enormous, making up a massive amount of ground to just get the head down where it counted. That was first up off a decent spell and now looks suited rising in trip for this 2nd up. Will obviously be spotting a few of these a start but he looks very progressive and deserves a crack in this sort of race now.

(1) Easy Campese will be very tough to beat and absolutely loves racing here on the Kenso. Bolted in over 1400m here last start and goes well up to this trip as well. Probably isn’t a better jockey/horse combo in the country at the moment and will be the one they all have to catch.

(2) Narvaez has won a trial since a flop at Rosehill in a stronger race. Started close to favourite there and expect he will bounce back here with Clark rolling upfront on him.

Betting Strategy: 1u WIN Sinba

(3) Galaxy Belle absolutely brained a bm64 field over the mile last start and there was plenty to like about that performance. Now gets to 1800m where she has an incredible 3/3 record. Deserves a crack in this grade now and I think she’s ready to take the next step. Barrier three should be ideal and looks to get a gun run today.

(9) Shameless Miss has built a nice record to start her career, winning two from five and placing in two others. Jmac jumps aboard for her first metro start and maps for a good run. Has had a tick over trial in between runs which seems to be her go and will be right in this.

(8) Main Stage has not won for a long time but it was an encouraging run last start when only being beaten by a handy one over this track/trip. Can sneak a place at odds.

(1) Yukon is ready to win 3rd up and out to a winnable trip.

(9) Laurelin has trialed sharply in the lead up to this and she is a lightly raced filly with a stack of talent. Stable have taken plenty of time with her but she looked very good when winning this at this track first up last prep. From the low draw Jmac should be able to either find the front or at least position just off them and be close enough to pounce in the straight.

No doubt (7) Way To The Stars should be forgiven for the last start fail off the back of two highly impressive wins. Might’ve just gone a bit quick up front but can hit back here without surprising.

(5) Garvoc is a very interesting runner and mixed his form in some decent races down in Melbourne. Goes very well fresh and might just enjoy being in the new stable. Will get back off a strong speed and hoping she can wind up late.

Have a feeling the gelding operation might do the trick with (6) Cape Breton. He’s a better horse than his results have shown and the latest trial was a good bit of work. Only career win came when first up over this trip and if he runs to his best, he will be winning.

(1) Olympic Legend has been back to the trials since a last start fail and his record is very good for a race like this. Will enjoy getting back to the Kenso where he’s won twice and has been competitive in better races.

(11) Construct could be just gone because his recent performances have been pretty poor. With that being said he does have talent and maps well from gate 2 here. You could give him one more chance.

(4) Major Artie next best.

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
