I think serial bridesmaid (8) Verbek can finally break through today. Went very close to winning last start but didn’t do himself any favours in the run. They’ve thrown the visors on today and a senior jock on board is a big plus. 

(9) Bella Rouge is lightly raced and looks to be builidng towards a maiden win. Should be in the finish. 

(11) Parlayed has looked handy enough at the trials and I expect to run well.

This is a hot bm68.

I think (6) Kiss Sum looks pretty hard to beat here 3rd up off the back of an unlucky run last time out. He’s clearly a horse with a bit of an X factor about him and I like the setup for him today. Should be nearing peak fitness now and he arguably should be unbeaten this prep. Barrier 4 is ideal for the in-form Jason Collett and I expect this horse to be right in the finish. 

(1) Conrad is a very good horse in his own right and kicked off the new campaign with an impressive win at short odds. He’s had a little freshen up since then and the horse he beat first up has since run well in stronger grade.

(4) Snitzonfire beat Kiss Sum last start and is now unbeaten in two career starts. Should lead them up again and looks to be a tough on-speed runner.

(5) Bend The Knee was super impressive winning his maiden fresh. Can go on with it now.

Going to side with (3) Jojo Was A Man here who I think will take improvement after only narrowly going down over this trip last start. Hasn’t run a bad race this prep and will give a good sight again.

(1) Mightybeel was much too good in similar grade last start. He’s got a heap of upside and looks ready to peak 3rd up.

(6) Dhakuri can mix form but the win two back was good and dropping back to favoured trip here is a positive.

(1) Delexo is flying this prep and comes into this off a good 2nd in stronger grade. He stuck on well there behind the flying Fox Fighter who has since come out and run well again on Saturday. Expect Collett to go straight to the lead from the inside draw and I think he will take some running down while super fit. 

(9) Tejori always pulls out her best runs fresh and absolutely loves the 1000m. Looked good at a recent trial and she will go well.

(2) Oh Please Dianna will be better suited today with some give in the track and should improve.

(9) The Denzel finally shook his tag as one of the better maidens going around with an emphatic win last start. He’d been competitive in stronger grade his whole career leading into that I’m hoping he might be able to go on with it now. Barrier 1 means he can take up a prominent spot in the running and if the gaps come at the right time I expect him to be winning. 

(10) Green Flash was a pass mark first up and should take improvement out of the run. He ran well here in his only start on the Kenso last prep.

(9) Elusive Jewel was a massive run last start at Rosehill, only just missing the handy Pippali. A win looks very close for her and she should see every chance today from barrier 6. 

(2) My Delight is a much better horse with a run under the belt and will be a big improver here. 

(6) Lisdoonvarna went close to winning a pretty strong bm72 last start. She looks suited getting out in trip for this and she will benefit if the rain comes.

(2) Le Vizir bolted in first up and looks to have come back in terrific order. He ran good time that day and should only improve now 2nd up and rising slightly in trip. Has built a hnady record early in career and can make it 2/2 this prep. 

(5) Blesk was extremely unlucky to go down last start and should be better suited now with a run under the belt. From barrier 11 I’d expect him to be saved for one run at them late. 

(8) Briars Kingdom looks a big price and can get away with this if he shows up with his best. Ran a good 2nd first up and has form 2nd up and likes wet tracks.
