We head to Sale for a strong 8 race card this Thursday where we can hopefully find some winners in the lead up to the weekend.

The track is currently rated a Soft 6 with the rail in the true position.

(11) No Quarantine makes his debut and has looked the goods in a recent jumpout. Think this horse could be pretty smart and a very good chance to make a winning debut. Finds a reasonably weak maiden today, probably gets back from gate 10 and will wind up late.

(5) Full Probe was smashed in betting on debut but could only manage 5th when well beaten by Sugartown. That horse has since won again and goes around favourite on Saturday. Will only improve from that first up run and looks a good chance.

(4) Five Bulls has plenty of race experience to his name but is yet to break through. Has had a little freshen up and the blinkers come off after he raced keen last time out.

(1) Next Step Berrima was a good maiden winner last start after rolling forward and showing a good turn of foot to win easily. Really keen to see him out to the mile now 3rd up and should be in this for a long way. Looks progressive.

(9) Peejays Off looks the danger and is bursting to win one after a string of placings. Finds Oliver today and is another who looks ready to peak out to 1600m.

(4) Star Of Leon got the confidence-boosting win he needed after a couple of placings as a short priced fav. SP profile is good and price looks more than fair today. Should take benefit from his last run.

(4) Orleans Rock is going to attract plenty of interest here with Ben Melham returning to racing and partnering up with this horse who was involved in the betting saga. Aside from that note, this horse is talented and was airborne last prep running very well in some strong Saturday races. If he is wound up enough he looks very hard to beat back in this sort of grade. Watch the market for a push.

(1) High Excalebration can be a big improver 3rd up. Ran into the smart Kurabui last start while having to lug 61kg. Gets a nice weight relief today and performs best this track/trip.

(6) Lord Markel arguably should have won last start when stuck in traffic before flashing late. Is always competitive in these kinds of races and should be rock hard fit now 3rd up from a spell.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
