Really liked the latest jumpout of (3) Lalaguna where they threw the blinkers on she really responded when asked for an effort. Ended up pulling away from them under a hold and she looks to be a nice type. Really well bred and Jamie Kah takes the ride from a nice draw. She will be hard to beat.

(4) Over Shady is another who’s won a couple of jump outs leading into the debut and looks the other horse who has a bit of X factor about her.

(6) Star Magic led on debut at this track and was solid enough there. Aided by race experience here.

(8) Lottacheex looked solid enough in her first prep and the jump outs leading into today have been good. I’ll put her on top with the benefit of race experience while the in-form Damian Lane is sure to give her a nice ride.

(4) Hollywood Park is a well-related 3yo and the stable have taken plenty of time with him having a number of jump outs. He looks smart and should go forward from the inside draw and take some running down.

(3) Bellsprout is another who has looked good at recent trials. In a wide open race he obviously has to go into the numbers.

(6) Rupert’s Delight has had 13 starts without a win but has been extremely consistent recently and you can’t count him out here.

I like (1) Seguso getting a nice 3kg claim off his back here and he won’t know himself dropping in the weights now after three runs with 61+ each time. Has been super competitive in those races and he looks to get a perfect run from a nice draw today. Has been in really good form and another win looks close.

(6) I Am Yours impressed here last start running away for a good 1L win. He looks like he’s ready to make his way through the grades now.

(5) Stretto still only has the one win to his name but has 10 placings from 16 starts. Was good first up and usually does his best work with a run under the belt.

(2) Michigan will improve here.

Odds Last Updated: March 16, 2022, 4:19pm (AEDT)

(2) Grid was a great run on his Australian debut over a trip probably short of his best. The mile is more his go and will be much better for that fresh run. His form back in the UK was very solid and he seems to have adapted well to the local conditions. Alana Kelly rode the horse well in that first up run and with the claim again she can roll forward and take some running down now with the added fitness for the horse.

(9) Livingstone Falls will appreciate the drop in grade here and is a winner 2nd up over 1600m. It was a good return fresh and he looks the main danger.

(1) Riotous Mischief was good first up running on strongly and really ran through the line like she would enjoy stepping up in trip. She gets in with a nice claim and her 2nd up record is good.

(2) Laybuy should be suited dropping back to bm64 level here and he’s won over 1800m at his only start previously. Maps for all the favours today and he has been super consistent in all three runs this prep.

(4) Eckhart looks ready to do something 3rd up and I like them stepping him up to this distance now. He generally races best with a few runs under the belt and he can fill a hole at a big price.

Most of these take turns winning but I’ll put (7) Irish Butterfly on top. He was unlucky last start behind Yukon and I thought he probably should have got closer. He’s race fit now and I expect him to go close here.

(6) Yukon is an impossible horse to follow and seemingly had that race won last start but was run over the top late. He is certainly good enough but I vowed to never back him again off that so I won’t be diving in with him the early favourite.

(8) Upswing was well backed 2nd up and I much prefer him drawing wider than barrier 1 like he did there. 3rd up he’s ready to pull out a peak run.

(8) Delta Tango was a big effort to finish so close over this track/trip last time out. He was slow out of the gates but made up plenty of ground to finish less than half a length off the winner. He’s a winner from one 3rd up run previously and looks ready to peak here.

(1) Point Nepean was solid on his only Australian start last prep. That was in tough grade and he’s expected to go on to better races than this. He may need the run but if he’s ready he will be hard to beat.

(2) Eco Warrior comes out of that same race where a few of them all finished together. He’s racing well.

(11) Kimmy Be Cool looks the best value chance and could sneak into the placings.

(7) Commands The Field has been racing in super form without winning. Was a little unlucky last start and I think he can go close here in an open affair. Mark Zahra taking over is a nice bonus.

(3) Ballynora has some decent form around her and will find this a lot easier than a couple of the races she contested towards the end of last prep. From the wide draw expect Willo to have her running over the top late.

(4) Head First bolted in on debut on a heavy track and was quickly put away. She’s jumped out nicely since and has upside.

(2) No Crying next best.

(12) Forbidden City gets well down in the weights here and is dropping back out of stakes grade for this. You can forgive her run there where she was just caught too wide and never in the hunt. Win before that was dominant (8L) on this track so she should enjoy getting back here. Slight query with the draw but hoping they go forward and makes use of the light weight.

(3) Ocean’s Jen is flying and probably goes close to making it three straight wins with some luck last start. She draws low so I expect them to ride her a bit more positively today and she will be hardest to beat.

(2) Comica and (6) Safe Passage come out of the same race with the former winning from the front. They’ll both be right in this from good respective draws.

Tip: (12) Forbidden City - $2.70 at Bet365

Betting Strategy: 2u WIN Forbidden City
