(3) Heavenly Eagle was good on debut as well, finishing a very narrow 2nd to Chain here over this trip. Was well backed there off some good jumpouts and just ran out of time to reel in the leader. No doubt he will be back again from the wide draw but I expect him to be charging late. With added race fitness and experience I think he can go one better today.
The jumpout win from (2) Golden Vitrine was solid and I think he’s got some upside about him. Won’t have to be a superstar to win this maiden but he’s bred nicely and I think the stable will have him ready to fire here on debut.
(4) I Am Yours was very good late on debut, reeling off some decent closing sectionals. Will enjoy every part of 1300m now and expect him to be a touch handier from the low draw.

Thought (1) Va Via would be tough to beat with some decent form around her three career starts and looks well placed back to the midweeks. She wasn’t far off them in the BD Prelude and was less than 2 lengths off Latizia the start previously. Blinkers go on today and I think she will be too good for these who all come into today with no race experience.
(6) Smile And Wave was an impressive winner at a recent jumpout and she is well related, being a half to Viddora. Expect she will be the toughest to beat here and the stable will have her ready.
If there’s any money for (3) Exceed The Dream I think it could be worth following as Stokes can usually get his horses firing fresh. From barrier 1 I’d expect she goes forward and could get away with this.
(10) Wok Star has won three trials leading into this and no doubt has talent. Next best.

(4) Hardware Lane was scratched from yesterday with this in mind and I have him on top due to his upside. Still just the four career starts for a win and a 2nd but there’s plenty of winning form around him and hadn’t been disgraced in some black type races last prep. Goes very well fresh and from a low draw he should be handy enough in the run.
With Hardware Lane scratched I’ll have (1) All Stardom has come back very well this prep and went close to making it 2/2 when just going down here last start. Finished off hard there and should be ready to peak now.
(10) Commands The Field is another who has been going very well this prep but has just been struggling to win one. Will go forward from gate 1 and take some catching now 3rd up from a spell.

If (7) Jenni Esprit can handled getting out to 1400m for the first time, I think she looks a strong EW chance. Has been flying this time in, with two wins from three and looks full of fitness 4th up. From a good draw she will see every chance in the run and can run a hole in a very open race.
(3) Reliable Dude is one of the class horses in this race and has had a little freshen up since stretching out to 2000m. Back to this trip now is ideal where he has a great record and his best form would have him right in this.
(6) Netanyahu was dissapointing as fav last start at Pakenham but there were excuses. Was very good first up and well-backed so might be worth forgiving?
(8) Vidiano hasn’t raced for almost a year but the Moody stable is absolutely airborne at the moment. Jumpouts have been encouraging and the market is worth following with her.

With the rail out and a lack of genuine speed engaged, (4) Write The Score could get away with this as she chases a third straight win. Has rolled to the lead in last two and had things her own way and I think she can produce something similar here. Yes this is tougher but the race sets up nicely for her, and she is flying.
(3) Demando is ready to win one and deserves to. She was very good here last time over 1300m and is ready to step to the mile now. Races well on this track and she has been building to a win.
(6) White Hibiscus is a tough horse to follow and has promised plenty at times. She drops in grade for this following a 2nd up run behind Yonce and will enjoy getting back to this Hillside track.
(2) Riotus Mischief next best.

(9) Hereforagoodtime can turn the tables on Oh So Far here with a 1.5kg swing in her favour now. She is absolutely flying at the moment, running into the quinella in her last four and once again looks a great chance. Maps nicely and she is rock hard fit now.
(5) Oh So Far was well-backed and won very strongly this track/trip last start. Is on the up and no reason she can’t win again but map could be a bit sticky and may need some luck late.
Could be well off the mark here but (3) Diamond Luke looks a huge price. Has been getting better with each run and is a winner from only other run 4th up into a prep. Looks suited rising to this trip and while this obviously a step up, I think he can run into a placing.
(13) Adaleene comes through a strong form race and is still lightly raced.

(7) Yukon has struggled to win lately but looks well placed dropping in the weights while the switch back to Melbourne might do the trick for him. He is 2/2 when 4th up from a spell and should have a pretty easy time of it up on the speed. He won’t get a better chance to break through than today.
(8) Irish Butterfly should also enjoy dropping in the weights and is at peak fitness now. Many of these are first up so the benefit of race fitness here could be crucial.
The horse that beat (9) Takumi last start came out and won the Launceston Cup since and looks the next best chance.

Backing two horses here that I was very keen to follow of their last start wins.
Keen to follow (3) Healing Game rising to the mile following an emphatic win over 1400m last start. He was absolutely smashed in betting that day and it looked like he might’ve been a certainty beat until Kah squeezed him through a gap late and he exploded once in the clear. Kah sticks from a good draw and he can give this grade a shake.
(12) Always On My Mind was an enormous win on debut, flying home from the back to run over the top of them late. Barrier 2 is probably not ideal but hard to ignore how good that last start win was and she could be pretty smart.
(2) Pounding is honest and hasn’t run a bad race this prep. He will roll forward from the wide draw and gets some nice weight relief with the apprentice claim.
(10) Station One was a good debut winner over this trip and then tackled some quality races. If he regains his best form he could be hard to beat.
