(1) Jamarra has to be a big chance here dropping out of the Sires at Flemington last start. Was eight week between runs there and didn’t do himself any favours in the run. Better suited back in grade and at 1300m. Placings behind Jacquinot and Lofty Strike read well and he can bounce back.
(2) Roznamla was well-backed on debut and saluted accordingly. Had jumped out well with Jamarra in the lead up to that and is right in this with benefit of race experience now.
Liked the trial work of (7) Liberty Steps and he looks a handy enough type. Could be the unknown horse who blows them away.

(6) Squami has gone very close on a couple of occasions this prep and looks ready to win 4th up and dropping in the weights. Looks to get an easy run up near the speed and that could make the difference in an even race like this.
(1) Rathlin is one win from 23 starts but generally races in better grade than this. Can win on best form.
(8) Fields Of Ivy is 3rd up now off the back of two improving runs and she was very good running through the line last start in Adelaide. Ready to win now.
(7) Obi is super consistent and was having first run for six weeks when a good 3rd over a shorter trip.
(2) Peidra next best.

(5) Suricate was beaten less than a length in a stronger race in Adelaide last start. 3rd up now rising to 1400m for the first time I think she looks well suited. The horse that beat her that day Mac n Cheese has since won again. Jamie Kah jumps on and with even luck she is hard to beat.
(7) Devout Hero is the clear danger with blinkers going on 2nd up. Was solid enough on resumption and stable though enough to thow him in the deep end of some good races last prep.
(6) Romanesco Fresco will try lead again and while this is tougher I think she can be in it for a long way.
(1) Glitter And Gold found her best form last time out when running on well to win 2nd up. She’s come back better this prep and we could see her regain her early career form.

(8) My Whisper looks a promising horse and was dominant when winning in 64 grade last start. That was straight off the back of a good maiden win and clearly she is on the up. Jamie Kah sticks for the ride here today and see no issue with this horse rising to 1600m now.
(2) Glint Of Hope got the maiden out of the way fresh over 1400m and will be suited getting up to the mile. She has group class form around her and is obviously good enough but with 61.5kg it will be a big effort.
(5) White Hibiscus was good back in this grade last start and I think this is her right level. Barrier 1 not ideal but she’s consistent and Oli will give her every chance.

(3) Detonator Jack was ultra impressive on debut, missing the kick and then rounding the field up easily for a big 3L win. That was a dominant display and he only got better the further they went. Out to 1600 now is suitable and barrier 8 gives him plenty of room to wind up.
(2) Hameron won easily on debut over this trip on a heavy track. No doubt he will improve as he gets out further in trip but is another who can make it two wins on the bounce.
(4) Flash Feeling showed good fight to win maiden last start over 1400m. Get the feeling he will like the mile.
(5) Yaphet was well backed fresh before finishing 2nd albeit by a big margin. His best racing is over this trip and Zahra taking the ride is a big positive.

(3) Cetshwayo is on the quick backup from Saturday when finishing down the track in a bm84 behind Rousseau. Drops way back in grade here and rising to 2400m I’m trusting the stable has pulled the right rein.
(12) Heart Of A Lion was well backed into favourite last start and had run of the race but just found one better. She’s a genuine stayer and off the back of her last two runs she can go close here.
(10) Witchachar Star is airborne and looks ready for this trip. This is tougher but deserves a crack in this sort of race now.
(4) Miletus is super honest and is always competitive in these midweek staying races.

(5) Sparring was going from an Albury maiden to a metro 64 when only being pipped late by More Secrets. That was an extremely impressive run from a horse who has plenty of hype about him. He puts himself on speed and has proven he is tough under pressure, with two runs to his name now I think he’s ready to peak and at his best I think he’s better than this grade.
(13) Star Waltz is an interesting runner resuming. No doubt she wants further but has jumped out really well and this trip suits on the fresh side. Form around her last prep is strong enough for this.
(4) Lempicka was an impressive winner last start over this trip. This looks a similar sort of race and she draws for a nice trail off the speed yet again.
(2) Direct has been extremely costly to punters but if you’ve backed him you might want to give him one more chance at a nice price here. His best form would go close.

(14) Austrata gets best chance to break through this prep following three straight placings. Gets well down on 54kg and won’t know himself with that on his back. Just had too much work to do last start but Jamie Kah taking over is a key booking. She generally gets them in a forward enough spot and hoping he’s ready to explode now 4th up from a spell.
Think (7) Ripper Rita is a big price and could regain some of her better form down in grade for this. She was good fresh and then no luck in running last start, this is easier and if she can slot in today I think she will be right in the finish.
(12) Rapid Achiever will enjoy getting to this trip for the first time. She’ll be up on speed and loves racing here.
(2) Chantrea can run well 4th up and hard fit. This looks easier than what she’s been going around in.
