Admit the favourite looks mighty hard to beat but at $1.40 I think we can look elsewhere for some value. (11) Rainbow Rocket appeals at an each way price and is suited by the wet conditions today. She’s still only lightly raced and has a heap of upside while she will map well from gate 5. Handles the wet and happy to have something on her. 

As mentioned (4) Freedom Square probably the best of this lot but he’s unknown on wet tracks and you’d be brave jumping in to find out if handles it at $1.40ish.

(8) Yulong Monoceros looks a good winning chance dropping back in grade here. Has been running well this prep and and not disgraced in stronger races than this in last couple starts. He handles wet tracks and in a race where there looks a bit of speed on, he can be the strongest late from the back. 

(6) Deep Mirror is flying and was a deserved winner last start over this trip. Draws very wide here however and will need some luck to slot in behind the speed. Happy to take him on.
