The trials of (2) Mars Mission leading into this have been as good as you’ll see and I’m looking forward to seeing him back at the track. Having first run in Sydney following a debut in Melbourne when running 3rd and should be ready to break through this prep.
(10) Shades Of Rose has won two recent trials leading into this debut run and has bolted in both of them. Tim Clark takes over from a nice low draw and expecting this horse won’t remain a maiden for long.
(4) Amathuba has some decent form around her first prep and looks the next best.

(7) Russian Ruble has been so good this prep without breaking through but today looks his day. Was extremely impressive behind Publicist last start when taking huge ground off that horse late to just miss. Would expect him to be primed and hard fit while barrier 5 gives him the opportunity to be a little closer in running. With even luck he looks hard to beat.
(11) Soprano looks ready to peak now 3rd up with a senior jockey booked for the ride. Was a bit unsuited how the race panned out last start but the fresh run was encouraging and I think she is ready to bounce back.
Same goes for (8) Edgewise who has been building nicely with two runs this prep. She maps for a nice run here and will be right in this.

(3) Bon Vivant was good last start when being beaten less than a length on a wet Wyong rack. That was off an eight week break so he will take plenty out of that run and will be suited getting onto dry ground. Rise to the mile is a tick and he’s ready to win.
(5) Decisive Move was well backed last start before finding the front and never looking in much danger of losing. No doubt they’ll look to do the same here again and just needs to run a strong mile.
(2) Tuhinga is only lightly raced and looked very impressive win maiden last start. Capable of running some quick late sectionals and no doubt Jmac will give him a gun ride from gate 2.

Good little race this with a few key chances.
I’m leaning towards (3) Star Cherie and going to give her another chance following the first up flop as favourite. She was a trial star leading into that run and I got sucked in by that however she did have excuses first up. This is probably a bit easier and back to 1000m is her go.
(7) Fire has some handy form around him and looks a progressive sort of horse. He’ll be forward from barrier 3 and could take the next step this prep. 1000m maybe too sharp?
It was nice return from (1) Sixgun who let down well to finish nicely behind De Grawin first up. Good claim here and we know on best for he is good enough to win this.
(5) Look Only looks a decent roughie chance and ran well above her price last start when 2nd to Forzanini. Gets right down in the weights and can run a hole.

(3) Molly Nails returned to the track with a narrow win however she and the 2nd horse absolutely gapped the rest of them – both horses broke the track record. It was a tough effort considering she was coming off a decent break and should only improve with that run under her belt. She’s building a very handy record and knows how to find the line while her 2nd up record is very good. Has been a winner over 1400m and she’s on the up.
(5) Crackalacka gets her chance in town following three straight wins at the provinicials. She’s clearly flying and looks ready to rise to 1400m now following three runs over 1200.
(9) Confessed is another who is airborne this prep and charged through late to win well last start. Has been a winner 3rd up previously and maps for every favour today.

(12) Nishikori was a tad disappointing first up but he started well in the market there and I’ve always thought he had a bit of ability. At double figures here I’m happy to take a chance he can improve in an open race and 2nd up is when he has done his best racing.
(8) Metro Legend was good first up and this looks no tougher. Will take improvement out of that run and is sure to be right in this.
(1) Off Shaw was very impressive first up and thought he was worth following off that. Out to 1400m now is ideal and he gets a good claim for Reece Jones.
(9) Overlord looks ready to do something now 3rd up.

(4) Mubariz looks ready to win now following a very good run over 2000m last start. Keen to see him get out to this trip for the first time and he is well overdue for another win. Absolutely gapped the 3rd horse in that last race and I think he sets up really well for this today.
No doubt (2) Parry Sound looks the main danger and will be right in the thick of things once again here. Has been racing well this prep and was tough all the way to the line last start up on the Gold Coast. You know he will run the trip.
(6) Navy Cross will lead them up as he usually does and no doubt will take some running down. He won that race Parry Sound comes out of and remains at the same weight for this.
I’d be shocked if the winner comes outside these three but (10) Barellan Bandit brings a differing sort of form line and is flying at the moment. Could sneak a placing.

(1) Dajraan creates a fair bit of interest here having first start in Australia since joing Gaibott from the UK. He’s won a trial and run 2nd to Silent Impact in another and has looked pretty smart doing so. Jmac has ridden him in both and sticks for the ride today. His form in the UK was pretty good and he will take some beating from the inside draw.
(9) Embeller can run well here at a price and looks to very close to another win. Won well fresh before bumping into a handy one last start. Gets a nice weight drop here and I think she maps for a lovely run.
(5) Miracle Day will appreciate getting back to 1200m where his record is very good. Is flying this prep and will be in the finish again.
(4) Head Legislator next best.
