Must admit that carrying 63kg is never an easy thing to do but (1) Kiss The Bride is a big chance of doing it successfully today. He ran well two back in a strong Saturday race at Randwick with 61.5kg before finishing a few lengths of Entente to run 4th in a quality Albury Cup field. Is clearly the best horse in the race and will enjoy a perfect run throughout from barrier 2 but will just need to carry the big weight.

The second feature race of the day at Wellington sees a strong field line up for the Wellington Boot for 2 year olds. (1) Bourbon Flyer brings the strongest form lines having won impressively on debut at Kensington before tackling a hot Black Opal where he wasn’t disgraced behind Kalashnikov. That’s the sort of form I want to be with here and from barrier 2 should enjoy all favours up on the speed. Gets in relatively well with 57kg and looks a good bet at around the $3 mark.

(4) Keith is the other one I’ll be looking to have something on after an impressive debut performance. He led them up in that race and showed a good turn of foot to put a space on his rivals late and looks to have some talent. The wide draw is a slight concern with speed drawn inside but any luck in running will see him in the finish. Happy to find out at the EW price.
