On class, (1) Chiclett should be winning this. She’s had three starts in this grade leading into today and has won two of them. She drops out of some very good Saturday races back to a no-metro-win Wednesday race and with even luck from the inside gate, she looks the one to beat.

(2) Big Screen was dominant two starts back and started a clear favourite last start. He raced a bit fiercely there and didn’t see out the mile, so the blinkers come off today to help him settle better.

(3) The Verdict comes into this off back-to-back wins and looks the value in the race at $7.00.

(3) Timely Outburst just looks better than these. He was dominant on debut at Pinjarra down the 1000m straight, winning by 2.7L. Has trialled well leading into his return today and should be very hard to beat.

Another favourite looks hard to beat here in the form of (6) Buzzoom who was very well backed on debut and produced a terrific finishing burst to win well. Some query today dropping back from 1200m to 1100m but draws better in barrier 5 and looks to have plenty of talent. Confident she wins again.

(9) Dadirra might be the value at $9.00. She trialled well leading into her debut behind Buzzoom, where she started ahead of her in the market. She was held up the entire straight and the race was over by the time she got out. Respect her SP in that race and we’re getting a much better price today.

(10) Uni Queen was well backed first up behind Buzzoom and ran on well from the back of the field. Some query today from barrier 9 with the rail out, but the step up in trip should suit and she’ll be hitting the line hard.

(2) War Warrior led last start and was run down by English Heritage. He now steps up to 1400m but he didn’t exactly finish off his race last start like he was looking for extra ground, so that’s my concern with him.

(3) Famous Jurney should roll forward to take up a position on speed and he’ll be thereabouts in the finish.

Doesn’t look to be that much speed engaged here so I’ll go with (3) Beau Zoom who should appreciate a better barrier draw today. He was huge in defeat last start, sitting parked three-wide without cover with 60kg the entire trip. Softer draw toady means he can lead without too much fuss and he’ll take some running down with the rail out.

(5) How’s The Serenity finished off well behind the talented Kaptain Kaos last start, which looks a very reliable form reference for a race like this. Should sit one-out, one-back and be right in the finish.

(6) Just A Pinch has returned in great order this prep. First up she sat three-wide the trip when beaten 0.3L, and she atoned for that with a good win last start over track and distance. Can win again.

(1) Highland Beat gets a huge drop in grade, along with the blinkers back on third up from a spell so no surprise to see the money has come for him. He’s never won third up though so I’ll be opposing him.

(2) Danny George is racing well and looks a good price but does get the pads on his feet today which is never ideal.

(8) Eliminate next best, might be looking for further than this.

(1) Sentimental Queen resumes over 1400m today, just like it did when it broke its maiden first up last prep. She went on to win over much further than this but this looks a good starting point for her on the back of a good recent trial.

(2) Divine Quest was a good effort first up after sitting wide throughout. Was only beaten 3.6L and from a much better draw today, can figure in the finish.

Interesting move for (9) High Energy which is first up for a new stable and has been $31 into $13.
