(1) Januara is knocking on the door and probably needs to lead with the rail out 14m today.
(2) Our Danni was ridden negatively at Bunbury last start and that cost her all chance after giving up a position early. The form out of that race appears strong and with apprentice Hefel going on today, we may see a more aggressive ride.
(3) Choice Bid was well-backed and did nothing first up, but does get Chris Parnham on today from barrier 1.
(6) Jessisbest ran 2nd two starts ago before being ridden negatively last start at Bunbury, where it’s been notoriously hard to make ground this season. If ridden more positive today, can outrun the $26 odds.
Tip: (6) Jessisbest $26 Ladbrokes
Betting strategy: 0.25 units WIN Jessisbest

Very, very keen to be with (7) Tambora here. This is a nothing race, so if this horse has any ability, it should be winning on debut. It has its first start over 1500m but with this stable, it’s not an issue – we saw a horse from the same stable win first up at this distance last week. That horse was also ridden by Chris Parnham, who is booked today and rides at 30% for this stable. Comes off a winning trial and looks extremely hard to beat.
(3) Diffusion gets blinkers back on which should see him reverse his form after a poor showing last start. Wasn’t bad before that so happy to forgive with the shades back on.
Betting strategy: 3 units WIN Tambora

(5) Sunset Cruise looks a good thing here. He won well two starts ago when he led all the way at Bunbury, but they sat 6th on the rail last start at Pinjarra. Azzopardi then tried to get off the rail, letting Pike up along his inside to win, while he ran up backsides until the 100m mark. Pike takes over today and with even luck, he should win.
(6) Reveuse ran well from way too far back last start. Apprentice goes on today so a more positive ride may be the result.

(6) Domineer has returned in good order this prep, running home strongly to score first up at Northam, before once again running home well from the back of the field here at Ascot last start. That was behind London Miss who led and controlled the race, and I think that’s a good enough form line. Drawn 9 today so will be back again, so with the rail out 14m that’s the query, but confident he’ll figure in the finish again.
(7) Excerpt didn’t have any luck last start and was good behind Solaia before that, which is a very good form reference for a midweek race. Pike goes on today which is a good lead but so do the pads on the feet, which is a slight concern.
(8) Jaguar Grey has ability and makes its stable debut for the new trainer.
(10) Pure Dynamite can improve from its first up run behind Fair Justice, which looks a decent horse.

Very interested in (10) Nobel Time who comes into this first up without a public trial and with William Pike booked for Brock Lewthwaite. Pike strikes at about 28% for the stable so his booking is eye-catching. Happy to take a stab at the double figures on offer.
(1) My Blueboy won first up on his home track at Bunbury, which was just his second career win from 17 starts, with a further 11 placings. He carries 60kg here but draws well in barrier 3 with Chris Parnham retaining the ride. Should be right in the finish again.
(8) Rock The Planet will go forward and should give a good sight with the rail out 14m.
(4) Tinto Belle was terrific first up but did get the tempo to suit and will need to produce a big effort from the tricky draw with the rail so far out.

(2) Ouqba Ted comes here on the very quick back up after running on Saturday. Blinkers go back on today. He was only beaten less than 3L by Secret Pearl two starts ago despite sitting three-wide the trip and he meets her 4kg better at the weights. Looks set up to run a big race today.
(3) Secret Pearl is flying, with three straight wins over similar distances. Back up in distance today which should suit and if she lands outside the leader again she’ll take some running down.
(6) Casa Rosada and (8) Safe To Makeup next best.

(9) Sentimental Hero can atone for his last-start defeat when he went around $1.50. He sat outside the leader that day but expect a quieter ride today, just like he was when super impressive on debut at Northam.
(2) Brutus Maximus ran the fastest final 400m of the meeting in defeat first up but broke through for his second career win last start at Pinjarra. Likely to be behind Sentimental Hero in the run and may not be able to run him down, but should go very well.
(4) Yulong Earth can be thrown in as the roughie – goes well first up and at the track and distance.
Tip: (9) Sentimental Hero $1.70 Bet365
