(11) Searchin’ Roc’s ran the best 5^th on debut you’ll ever see. She ended up well back in the field and ran into traffic for about 300m in the straight, she was green as grass before finally getting clear at the 100m mark. Very confident with clear running she finishes much closer to the winner. Jockey change today and an awkward gate, so likely to be back in the field again, but at each way ods, happy to play small.

(8) Forever Dreaming was impressive last start and can win again.

(7) Starring Knight gets Pike on for his debut which is a positive lead.

(13) Vogue’s Choice has been trialling well ahead of her debut.

(2) Express Time bounced back after a disappointing first up run with victory last start. Gives a little bit of weight away to a few horses today but I think she can win again. Gets conditions to suit, just needs to handle the step up to 1200m which is the query as all four career wins have been at 1000m.

(1) Speedy Miss is nearing a win and will be very fit dropping back from 1400m to 1200m.

(5) Vital Blast is another suited to stepping up to 1200m, where he’s won three of his five career starts. Wasn’t far behind Express Time first up and does get a weight swing.

(8) Snippy Miss continues to run well but finds it very hard to win with just one success from 25 starts.

(1) Aberdeen Queen surely finds a race she can win here. She’s been terrific all prep. She sat wide throughout when winning first up at Northam, then flashed home from last second up, before getting too far back again last start. Draws to sit closer today and if she does that, will be very hard to hold out.

(9) Crescent City broke through for his maiden win at Northam last start and can improve, with Pike riding this horse instead of the Peters horse.

The Peters horse (8) Truly Inspired gets Chris Parnham on, who is off Aberdeen Queen to ride him. Comes off a good win at Northam and can go close.

Good little race. (7) Secret Plan was enormous on debut back in September last year. Has since failed to go on with it, but has bumped into the likes of Kissonallforcheeks, Triple missile, Hot Zed etc. Trialled well recently, draws well and can win this fresh.

(3) Vane Tempest is flying, winning her first two this prep before bumping into the smart Timely Outburst last start. 1200m back to 1000m on the quick backup today and gets a 3kg claim – whether the apprentice will be able to hold her is the issue.

(2) Acromantula started $2.40 but failed last start. Can forgive him for that.

Hopefully this drift continues on (4) Miss Conteki, who is looking to make it eight wins from nine career starts. She beat Nerodio last time we saw her, and that horse has since come out and won twice. She looks the best horse in the race and she’s probably at a backable price.

(5) Panzdown is flying, winning his first four starts this prep before bumping into Nerodio last start. He’ll be right there again but Miss Conteki had the measure of Nerodio, so you’d think she would have Panzdown covered too.

(3) Ambiente has trialled well and has bar plates and concussion plates off her feet, which suggests they’ve got her nice and sound.

(1) Gemma’s Son next best.

Thought the win of (6) Fairedu was good and she’s got a very good second up record. She bolted in by 4L second up last prep and although this is a tougher race, she looks a good each way chance.

(9) Double Spice returns from a 12-week break and has a good first up record. Tough draw and may be out of his grade here but he can go well at big odds.

(13) Devoted Star was disappointing last start and gets the blinkers on for the first time today. Pike sticks, good draw, expect her to go close.

(15) Secret Statue hates winning. Gets the inside and Parnham takes over today with Pike on the stablemate, but he just refuses to put his head in front at the moment.

Uncle Lindsey throws the 3kg apprentice on (10) Born To Try here, bringing her weight down to 51kg. She’s been unlucky in her past two starts, which followed a win over the mile. Rock-hard fit, down to a very winnable weight, just needs a good steer from the gate.

(14) Lady Duckworth won three straight before stepping up to Saturday grade last start. She drew wide, circled the field and was only beaten 1.7L by Black Shadow. Drawn wide again here but looks over the odds at $16.

(1) Adornment looks slightly over the odds at $6.50. Carries top weight but Laqdar Ramoly takes off 2kg andoif he can overcome the wide draw, she will be very hard to beat.

(9) Leading Girl won well first up and got blocked badly on the rail in the Hyperion Stakes last time out. Slightly better draw today and if she can get to the outside, she should be finishing hard.

(2) The Velvet King draws perfectly in barrier 1, provided he can jump with them. He was slow away last start and that cost him the race. Prior to that he was dominant so if he jumps, he’ll be right there.

Looks a two-horse race to me.

(10) Bright Diamond looks very hard to beat here. Was very unlucky first up behind Puli, then ran 3^rd behind Comfort me and Sheza Chalmer. Sheza Chalmer won the Belmont Guineas last week, while Comfort Me also won easily at its next start. The form looks very good.

(8) The Spruiker is flying with back-to-back wins this prep. Has drawn well in both of those though, and comes up with barrier 13 today.

(4) Playing Marika is the blowout chance in the race at $34. She sat three-wide the trip last start and wasn’t far behind Leading Girl the start prior.
