(2) Time Scale is knocking on the door for another win. He drops out of a 3YO Handicap in Saturday grade back to a Wednesday race. The form in particular behind the likes of Hot Zed and Graceful Girl looks very good and with even luck from the draw, should be hard to beat.

(3) Bourbon Beau is the stablemate and returns from a spell today. Should lead from barrier 2 and will give a good sight, and with the rail out 18m can be hard to run down.

(4) Crypto Queen won well on debut and was good again in 2^nd last start. Draws softly to stalk the leaders and will be thereabouts.

(1) Mystical View should find this easier.

(8) Short Talk led on debut at Pinjarra and faded into 3^rd, but she did hang out badly on the turn, Should improve from that experience and with the rail out 18m today, might take some catching from the front.

(7) Memorable Miss was ordinary on debut at Northam but improved last start at Pinjarra. Should take some beating on the back of that.

(6) Somethingready ran 4^th in the same race as Short Talk first up, but did sit three-wide for most of it. Might be looking for further than this, but draws softly today. Form behind Graceful Girl looks good.

(4) Parlare looks a decent bet here at $5.50. Showed good improvement from his first trial to his second trial when the blinkers went on. He showed much more pace out of the gates and was strong to the line, with the horse he beat then coming out and winning by 3.8L at Northam. Notable they choose to put him in a Class 1 in town rather than a maiden, so that signals that they think he’s pretty smart.

(5) Playing Red has been good in all three starts this prep but keeps coming up short. Draws well today and Parnham sticks so will be right in the finish again.

(7) Mind Tricks looks to be a horse that’s had some issues but also has some talent. Last prep she came from last and was held up until the final 100m behind He’s All Mighty, and followed it by running the fastest final 400m of the meeting at Bunbury behind Our Boy Dylan. Looks value at $15.

(10) Sumusu was luckless last start.

Hardly inspired by York form but (1) Excerpt won well first up at his first start for the new stable and finds a winnable race in town to go on with it.

(3) Powerful went close at Northam last start and raced in a much harder race prior to that. Draws the inside here so gets the gun run and should go close.

(5) Sea War gets his preferred soft ground and can be competitive.

(6) Rebel Heart is a decent price at $6.00 here. I thought her run last start was terrific on a day where on-speed, on-rails was the place to be. She came from back and wide and loomed at the 200m like she’d win, but then those on the inside kicked again to hold her off. She was beaten less than a length and given the pattern of the day, I thought that was a very good effort. Up to 2100m now third up, Parnham sticks and if the track plays fair, she should go close.

(4) English Heritage has gone close her past two starts and now steps up to 2100m, which shouldn’t be an issue with this stable. Pike sticks and with any luck from the gate, looks the horse to beat.

The sneaky run of (1) Velvet Room was good last start, when coming from last a Pinjarra before running onto heels late. Up in distance should suit here and did win at this stage last prep.

(1) Miss Maranta is flying and broke through for a well-deserved win last start. We were on her there at big odds and there’s no reason to drop off today. She’s flying this prep. Surged late to run 2^nd first up, ran hoem strongly second and third up, was held up horribly fourth up, and won last start. Up a couple of kilos from last start but with any luck from the draw, can win again.

(4) Smile For Me won four starts ago, the sat wide the trip three back, struck a heavy track two back and was beat a nose last start. Tricky draw to overcome but is racing well and looks a chance again today.

(11) Paris Girl next best.

(1) Allez Allez was sound first up, finishing less than a length off Brother Paddy over 1400m here. Won second up last prep, should appreciate the step up in trip today and gets a gun un from the draw. Looks hard to beat.

(2) Said No One Ever won two starts back before copping an awful run last start when caught wide throughout. Chris Parnham on today and a good barrier draw, will go close.

(5) Piccola Signora was beaten a nose over this track and distance two starts ago and was beaten less than a length in a Saturday race last start. Back in grade today and gets a nice claim, but query ahs to be where she gets to from the gate with the rail out 18m.
