(1) Construct is the one with runs on the board, having tackled black-type races in his career to date. This is by far his easiest test and has trialled well leading into this. Think he may have come back at a new level this prep and I think we will see him string together a few wins following today. Is a deserved favourite and will take plenty of beating.
(6) Lucky Sun was very good when competing first up as a gelding last start. He went forward and stuck on well to run 2nd behind Verne, who has since gone on to win a strong Saturday race at Randwick. That form is good for a race like this and he will only improve here today.
(4) Huesca has had two trials in the lead up to his debut, winning both of them in different styles. The first saw him camp in behind the speed and let down late to win before leading throughout in his most recent where he showed a good kick in the straight. Clearly has ability and will be right in this.

(3) Duchy Of Savoy was last seen at Caulfield on Australia Day, finishing 4th in the G3 Blue Diamond Preview behind the likes of Dosh, Tayla’s Moment and Frost Flowers. That form is clearly outstanding on paper and she has recently trialled very well at Rosehill. The stable clearly have an opinion of her and I think she looks a massive chance and I am happy to bet at the price on offer.
Going off the trials, (4) Falsetto looks the main danger. Showed good improvement from the first trial to the most recent one and Tim Clark sticks with her today after riding in both. Will go straight to the top and will be the one to catch.

Not much meat on the bone but (4) Skedaddle looks one of the more certain picks around the country today. Was a very good winner on debut when well supported as a short-priced favourite and has since trailed up nicely. The stable have taken their time with this horse and I think she will go on to win bigger and better races than this. Obviously very hard to beat but can’t dive into the red odds. Will be a bet if we can get $2+ late.
(1) Sixgun is an obvious threat having run well in much stronger races than this. Will only be fitter now 3rd up from a spell and just needs to carry the big weight to be a chance.
(2) Kinloch was very good when finishing 2nd in this grade at this track a month ago. That was off the back of a very long spell and will only take improvement into this race today.

Not a race I’m overly keen on but (7) Devil Dan looks as good a chance as any down in the weights. Won well in bm64 grade at Kembla last start, beating home Admit It (who won yesterday but was disqualified post race). Should get the gun run from gate 7 and with only 52.5kg after the claim, will be strong late.
(5) Jungle Book was a surprise winner over the mile at Warwick Farm, and may have turned the corner in his prep. Looks suited getting up t0 1800m where he has a good record. Just can’t get him as short as he is given his recent SP profile.
(4) Time Raid is on the quick backup from last week and should be more suited getting to the Kenso track. Was a winner at his only start this track/trip and will be rock hard fit now.

I like the setup for (4) Olympic Legend today who looks well placed in this kind of race. Gets to 1550m now 3rd up from a spell and has been building all prep to a peak performance. Has won over this track/trip and is always strong 3rd up. Maps for a nice run with Mcevoy to ride and should be going close.
(1) Nyami is as honest as they come and was a tough winner last start over this distance. Jmac has a good relationship with this horse and you’d imagine he is right in the finish.
(6) Reinvest is still very lightly raced and was solid first up two weeks ago. Will only strip fitter from that and his debut prep showed he has talent.

Pretty keen on the QLD visitor in (4) Gin ‘n’ Bitters who has built a handy record up North and am interested to see how he measures up down here. Has plenty of speed and usually puts his best performances in when 1st up from a spell. So long as the track isn’t any worse than a soft 7 I think this horse looks very hard to beat today.
(5) Hibiscus Lady looks the other winning chance for mine. Looks suited dropping back in grade and slightly rising in trip from a solid first up run. Is a much better horse with a run under her belt and happy to have something on at the $8+.

(7) Tamerlane couldn’t have been more impressive when winning 1st up over 1200m. Hugh Bowman made a rare trip to Gosford for that and whe ill take the ride once again today. Was a winner last prep over this trip and maps for a perfect run throughout. Should be very strong late.
(4) Mollycoddle should give this a pretty good shake back to a race of this quality. Was outclassed in the Denise Joy Stakes at Rosehill after a very good first up win in this grade. Keen to see her out to 1300m 3rd up.
(8) Lennon has started well in the market in every race this prep but things just haven’t panned out well for him. Will be ready to peak 4th up today but looks short enough.
Happy to play both Godolphins to return a result on the race.
