(4) Schuplatter broke her maiden first up down the Pinjarra straight. She steps up to 1200m now and also rises to a Class 1, but I think she can go on with it. The stable had a 30% winning strike rate last month and six of their past 10 runners have been winners, so they are in very good form.

(3) Playing Red was good in this grade first up, just peaking on the run late to be beaten 0.25L. She was OK last start in a stronger race than this and should be ready to go third up back in a class 1.

(2) Lord Augustus was brave first up after sitting three-wide the trip. He won first up last prep before failing second up which is the query.

(1) Enticing seems to have appreciated being ridden back off the speed in recent starts and is racing well.

Tip: (4) Schuplatter $2.45 Sportsbet

Betting Strategy: 1 unit WIN Schuplatter

(2) Cold Shizzle should find this easier than what he’s come up against in his first two starts behind the likes of Ponyo and Ain’t No Other Man. The latter has since come out and won again so the form is stacking up. Parnham sticks with and he looks the one to beat.

(1) Twice Lucky pulled off a very good market move last start after being beaten 31L on debut. He jumped straight to the front and gave nothing else a look in. He’ll lead again from the inside barrier and should take some running down.

(9) Eevalina is the value at double figure odds. Started single figures behind Twice Lucky on debut but got very little room in the straight, running into traffic for most of the final 400m. Can be the improver.

I can’t get (5) Celebrity Man near $1.40 here. He’s placed in both career starts and while I admit the step up to 1400m really looks the key, I just can’t take those odds for a horse that gets back, runs home and hasn’t won yet.

(4) Tena Koutou could prove the testing material first up. He was a bit disappointing in his debut prep, going under at $2.50 and $1.85 in his past two starts, but maybe he just needed a bit of time. Has had one trial leading into his first up run today and I expect he’ll go well.

(1) Free Solo was the victim of a few ordinary steers in his first campaign. I think he’s got a bit of talent though and he comes up with the inside draw first up here. Any luck and he goes close.

(9) Allegiance is over the odds at $26 here. She was heavily backed on debut at York and nearly got put through the rail half way down the straight. She was back on the rail, Mitchell Pateman tried to take a needle-eye gap at the 200m and got completely chopped in half. The race was over from there and he sat up, so the final margin of 17L really wasn’t reflective of her ability. Respecting that SP and the market move and completely forgiving her for that. This is no doubt a tougher race but at the odds, have to have something on.

(1) Jedi Mind is $1.40 after a nice first up win at Pinjarra. Does look the horse to beat in what is a moderate field.

(8) Treasured Prize didn’t go a yard first up as the $1.60 favourite, but atoned for that with her first win last start. She takes on a couple of handy types here so she’ll need to improve again – she didn’t beat much last start – but the stable is running hot.

(1) The Verdict put three wins together before that streak came to an end last start in a harder race. This race suits her much better and she will lead, but my query is the drop back to 1400m as all three of those wins came over 1600m+.

(4) Smile For Me is value at $16. First up she sat three-wide the trip, second up she won a similar race at Ascot, third up she again sat three-wide the trip, and last start she struck a heavy track behind the talented Tri For Us. Can run a good race with any luck here.

(5) Blow Me Out next best.

(3) Adore Me was huge winning first up at York, coming from the back of the field to storm home over the top. Should improve from that and did win second up last preparation, so expect her to go close again today.

(4) Miss Maranta is going well. She’s run super in every start this campaign and just had no luck at all last time out. She was held up until the 100m mark and then made ground when she eventually got out, but it was all over by then. She’s only won the one race which is the issue, but with any luck she should be right in the finish.

(2) Precautionary next best.

(3) Cuban Twist finds a good race today. She was good first up behind Sentimental Queen, only beaten 1.8L after leading. She backed that up with a good run for 2nd last start behind Tri For Us, which now has three wins from five starts. Should go forward from the gate and be hard to run down third up today.

(8) Chasing Chaos is another that can go forward and give some cheek. He ran 2nd to Blackwater Bay last start and that horse then came out and won again on Saturday. He’s yet to win from 22 starts at this distance which is the main query, but he can go well on his 100th start.

(6) Tradem’ In will be thereabouts at the finish, while (1) True Attraction is very well suited back to this grade and up to the mile, but not sure how good he’s going.

(5) Secret Statue is a good horse and I’m quite convinced of that. His debut win was something that had to be seen to be believed. He went off the boil last prep but returned with a good effort behind Vane Tempest, which is a handy horse. He was struggling to keep up at various stages but he picked up nicely in the straight. Likely to be a long way back again from barrier 11 but if he’s close enough on the turn, he should be very hard to hold out stepping up to 1400m.

(6) Count The Sessions looks the danger. Won two in a row in Albany and then ran 3rd last start after sitting wide throughout. That was a good effort, horse is flying, Parnham sticks and gets a good draw.

(3) Brother Paddy is a blowout chance, (1) New Amsterdam also has claims.
